North Wales Crusaders Wheelchair League Club

Club Care and Support Policy North Wales Crusaders Wheelchair Football Club is a fully inclusive club. The Club has a duty of care to everyone involved.

1. Due to the different types of some member’s/participant’s disability. The following key points ensure everyone has the same level of care and support  all new members to be spoken to ascertain there level of disability  emergency contact and medical information form to be filled out  ensure the club know medication and any special requirements needed during a session  to pass on to the first aider all relevant information

2. Every persons needs with the equipment will be different  the correct size of wheelchair is essential  any additional strapping is to be provided  any alterations to make the chair to be carried out and checked by another senior person

3. To ensure the participants safety and enjoyment and to make the session as much fun for them the club will do their best to supply, source  any additional equipment required for movement to the chair  different types of safety belts  any additional safety equipment for the person  any additional requirements to be able to travel to and from games

4. The club will further ensure that there  is a fully qualifies first aider at all sessions and games  a full stocked and checked first aid kit.  communications to the emergency services is available  we will also ensure that any evacuation needed all available help will be given to safely move the person
