VH1 PROMOTES NINA L. DIAZ TO EXECUTIVE VICE PRESIDENT AND HEAD OF REALITY PROGRAMMING AND DEVELOPMENT

New York, NY – June 28, 2016 – VH1 President Chris McCarthy today announced that Nina L. Diaz has been promoted to Executive Vice President and Head of Reality Programming and Development for VH1, overseeing all reality development and production for the network. Since joining VH1 in 2014 as Senior Vice President of East Coast Production and Development, Diaz has developed and grown the network’s biggest hits including “Love and Hip Hop,” “” and “”-- as well as the forthcoming “Amber Rose Show” and the highly anticipated revival of “America’s Next Top Model.”

VH1 currently leads the industry as the fastest growing entertainment network in the Top 25 and has 9 of the top 20 reality shows for P18-34 and P18-49, more than any other network.

“Nina has an exceptional ability to translate pop culture through stories and characters that attract massive, passionate audiences,” said McCarthy. “Very few people have Nina’s talent and instincts to consistently develop shows that not only reflect culture but also define it,” said McCarthy.

Prior to joining VH1, Diaz started her career at MTV where she developed and launched some of the most iconic shows in history, including “Cribs” and “My Super Sixteen”. She’s also credited with “The Osbournes” after suggesting the family was worthy of their own series while meeting them on the set of “Cribs.”

She later when on to be an independent producer, developing hits such as “ of New Jersey” and “Mob Wives” for the Weinstein Company and Left/Right, which brought her to VH1.
