10. If you could only teach one Lincolnshire historic theme or period in your school, which one would it be?

 Saxons  Not sure  VICTORIANS  Romans and Anglo Saxons  World War II  WW2  Lincoln Castle  Tudors  Roman lincolnshire  Victorian  Not sure-whichever has the best resources for visits and most relevance to Lincolnshire  We do a local History Project for Louth and it would be great to have more resources accessible for this. The Civil War would also be a good area to teach.  WW11  World War 2  Invaders and Settlers  Vikings, Anglo Saxons Romans  Local History Study- finding out about History in the local area linked to Louth e.g. graveyard study. 11. Which museum or heritage site in Lincolnshire is the most helpful/useful in terms of its relevance to the curriculum?

 Not sure  Lincolnshire Life  Flag Fen  Lincoln Castle  There are many - The Collection, The Lincolnshire Life Museum, Church Farm Museum - near Skegness to name a few, but it seems really difficult to organise visits as they are booked up very early sometimes a full year or more in advance!! It was much easier and better financially for us when there were outreach groups which would come out to school and deliver half day or full day workshops here.  Church farm Museum Skegness Gainsborough House Magdalen museum Tattershall Castle  Lincoln castle or tattershall  The Collection but we would welcome advice on other valuable historical visits in Lincolnshire please.  Flag Fen was useful for learning about Stone Age, Iron Age and Bronze Age  The collection is a useful resource for a range of ages and subject areas.  Lincoln castle and Cathederal  Thorpe Camp Tattershall We visit lots of museums/sites for history. Difficult to choose one. Other visited Lincoln Castle, BBMF, East Kirkby,  The Collection in Lincoln or The Museum of Lincolnshire Life  The Collection in Lincoln  Only help I received last September was Ian Marshman who came into school with artefacts. Other help very sparse.  Wilderspin Victorian School  Some classes have visited The Collection in Lincoln. Haven't visited any others to know of its relevance. Funding V1

12 Are the prehistory learning resources something which your school would be willing to pay for (not directly, but via the LEA's central schools budget)?

*(NB: We estimate that the cost of these per school works out at around £60 per Primary School, but we would like the resources to be free at the point of download and suitable for year on year use).

Yes 3 43% No 4 57% 7

12 Are the prehistory learning resources something which your school would be willing to support if funded via the LEA's central schools budget?

*NB: We estimate that the cost of these to the LEA central schools budget works out at around £44 per school, as a one off payment. The resources would be free at the point of download and suitable for year on year use without further cost.

Yes 8 62% No 5 38% 13

13 If you have indicated above that your school would be interested in having on-line resources on other heritage themes or time periods, would your school also be willing to pay for them (again, not directly, but via the LEA's central schools budget?)

Yes 11 55% No 9 45% 20

If you have any other comments, please let us know:

 I have ticked 'no' but it depends whetehr this would be an annual cost. If annual, then we wouldnt n  The answer to q13 depends on the nature of the resources  I do not have financial authorisation at this moment. I would expect that it would not be a problem if the resources were of good enough quality and not something that we could find easily ourselves online.  We are an Academy so not part of LEA so would this be a problem/ incur more cost? We would be happy to support this particularly when it supports the local study as benefit to our children. We think the work of Lincolnshire Heritage is superb and we have loved their archaeology work with our school.  I don't know. Our financial budget is very constrained and I am not able to make a decision at the moment.
