Chair’s Greetings In the words of the late Maya Angelou, “…bringing the gifts that my ancestors gave, I am the dream and the hope of the slave.” We Rise. We Rise. We Rise! Homecoming brings back so many memories and wonderful joys for each participant. WEDNESDAY, NOV. 12 Student Alumni Dinner | George Watts Hill Alumni Center, The Carolina Club | 6:30 p.m. Whether you’re an alumnus, a current student, faculty or staff, WE ARE CAROLINA! Join us for this year’s Student Alumni Dinner and connect Carolina’s past, present and future. This is a great opportunity for alumni to mix and mingle with some of Carolina’s best and brightest students. The UNC Black Pioneers (African-American alumni from the classes of 195 2–1972) will serve as alumni table hosts and the keynote speaker will be the president of Bennett College in Greensboro, Rosalind Fuse-Hall ’80. President Hall received her bachelors of art in criminal justice from Carolina in 1980 and a law degree from Rutgers University in 1983.

Liberty Mutual Golf Cup | UNC Finley Golf Course | 9 a.m. Enjoy some serious, but friendly, golf competition with your fellow Tar Heels on Carolina’s Finley Golf Course. The 18-hole championship course has a newly renovated clubhouse and will provide you with one of the most enjoyable golfing experiences. The tournament price includes practice balls, green and cart fees, breakfast and lunch. A portion of each golf fee will be donated to the Light on the Hill Scholarship.
