Southgate Road, part of De Beauvoir Town, has been described by Time Out as 'one of 's Best Bits, where Hackney Cool meets Style (November 1-7 2016). For me it's home where I can enjoy excellent coffee at the 52a Coffee House and shop locally from independent shops, particularly the well-known De Beauvour Deli and the N1 Garden Centre. It's a pretty quiet area with a 'villagey' feel however central London and the city are very accessible with excellent transport links to the overground at Haggeston, Dalston Junction and Dalston Kingsland and the underground to Old Street and Angel. When I first stepped into the spacious and welcoming entrance I hoped the flat would meet my expectations. It is quiet, well planned and airy. I make full use of the balcony growing plants in tubs and boxes and sit out in the summer looking down the road to the greenery of Rosemary Gardens. We are a diverse and friendly community of all ages living here which I like. The communal areas are well looked after and the shared Zen garden on the floor below offers great views of the city and is pleasant to sit out on of a summers evening.
