OUTINGS AND HIKES ACTIVITY ON THE WATER MANCHE 2019 - N°1/12 A trip to the Chausey archipelago with a visit to the mussel and oyster parks in La Manche in a sea-kayak. Leaving from Granville, on board the "La Grande Ancre", an oyster fishing boat, you arrive at the wild islets on the east of the Chausey archipelago. Here you can have a picnic, either on board or on an isolated beach with the crew, who will talk about their work as oyster farmers. As the tide goes out, you can see the bouchots (shellfish beds) from a two-seater sea-kayak (adapted to beginners). Then, at low tide, Alban or Ian will take you on a visit on foot to the oyster or clam parks, before you board the kayaks again and return to "La Grande Ancre" and head back to Granville.
