Mobile Choice Awards 2011 Press Release for IMMEDIATE Mobile Choice Awards 2011 Press Release FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Mobile Choice Consumer Awards – Top 10 Product Awards Last night saw the 11th Annual Mobile Choice Consumer Awards take place at the swanky Northumberland venue off Central London, and for the first time in the awards’ history - over 10,000 consumers made the most of democracy and voted in droves for their favourite devices this year. "This is the first year we've opened all the categories to reader voting and we're incredibly excited to have had such a huge consumer say in the final results,” said Natasha Stokes, Editor of Mobile Choice. And it was obvious one smartphone really won the hearts of the nation’s consumers and the Mobile Choice team– the superb Samsung Galaxy S II swept awards across the board. It was nominated in six categories, and triumphed in five, winning Best Camera Phone, Best Video Phone, Best Android Phone, Best Media Phone and the most coveted award of the night, Phone of the Year. Natasha added: “Samsung’s Galaxy S II did an unprecedented sweep at this year's awards, impressing our readers and expert judges alike with its high performance and powerful features.” But it wasn’t just Samsung’s super phone that left the awards basking in glory. The BlackBerry Bold 9780 won Best Social Networking Phone thanks to its superb Messenger service. Orange’s fantastic San Francisco picked up the Best Value Phone for providing outstanding functionality at an incredibly affordable cost. Most Innovative Device went to the LG Optimus 3D. Being the first phone that lets the user shoot and view images and video in 3D, it took a brave first step that’s paved the way for the future of 3D mobile technology. And Apple’s iPad 2 bagged our first ever Tablet of the Year for its supremely elegant build quality and tablet-optimised App Store. Natasha also said: “Just getting into the shortlists for each category requires a broad range of high-end features and superb usability and every device here is a great piece of tech, and quality purchase.” Here is the full list of awards with the winners and the shortlisted devices that almost made it. • HTC Chacha Is a QWERTY Touchscreen for Facebook
Mar 22, 2011 11:25 GMT HTC Chacha is a QWERTY Touchscreen for Facebook The large number of mid-range of smartphones in the HTC line-up has meant that company has been really struggling for launching a new model that will be captivating the inspiration of people. They have invariably landed upon the HTC Chacha in that process and it will be the first phone from HTC to be satisfying the social networking hunger, which is prevailing amongst the youth of today in high levels. This new phone will be assembling a BlackBerry, but make no mistake about it, it is a full and full entertainment phone. The HTC Chacha will be coming with a touchscreen display that is going to be supported by a full QWERTY keyboard. This is the normal occurrence of the BlackBerry phone, but the surprise is to see this design theme adopted by the HTC phone as well. The introduction of this strategy into the HTC Chacha has been possible due to the employment of a 2.6 inch touch screen display. Even though this is a 2.6 inch screen, HTC has lavishly provided the screen with a resolution of 320 x 480 pixels. This is truly outstanding amount of resolution to be having with this touch screen display size and the benefits of having this amount of resolution will be felt later. The internal memory details of the HTC Chacha have not been revealed by HTC. However, something that has been revealed is the 32 GB memory card support provided by the phone.
