Pumping Station (Only selected features shown) Zone 3 Wastewater Treatment Works This zone comprises the minor resource aquifers but excludes zone 1 and areas where minor aquifers are overlain by thick drift or impermeable confining strata. These aquifers yield locally important quantities of water. This zone has been subdivided into: Dublin Aquifers ZZoonnee 33aa Zone 1a Zone 3a Most vulnerable to pollution Zone 1b ZZoonnee 33aa Zone 3b Least vulnerable to pollution ZZoonnee 33bb ZZoonnee 33aa Zone 2 Zone 3a Zone 4 Zone 3b This zone comprises the remaining areas, excluding zones 1, 2 and 3. Zone 4 Groundwater in this zone is not thought to be important but small domestic yields may be obtained. Protective measures are unnecessary from the groundwater point of view.
