The Centre for Migration Studies was established in November 2006 and formally launched in November 2007 at the University of Ghana to undertake research, teaching, training, capacity building, policy assessment, development LIST OF FIGURES and dissemination in the area of migration. CMS is the first Centre in the West African sub-region and is seeking to be a regional leader in learning, teaching and research and is suitably located in the Faculty of Social Sciences. CMS’s vision is to have an informed nation conscious of the role of migration in wealth creation and devel- opment as well as its socio-economic and cultural determinants and consequences.
