Road Traffic (Taxi-Cab) (Family Islands Zone Fares) S.1. 112/ 2008. Regulations, 2008 (SECTION 73) [Commencement – 22nd December, 2008] 1. These Regulations may be cited as the Road Traffic Citation Sub. Leg. Vol. III (Taxi-Cab) (Family Islands Zone Fares) Regulations, 2008. Ch.220. 2. In these Regulations ,“Family Islands” mean the Interpretation. Islands of Abaco, Andros, Cat Island, Eleuthera, and Long Island. 3. (1) Notwithstanding the Taxi-Cab Maximum Fares Fares for zones in Family Regulations, the maximum fares for taxi-cabs in respect of Islands. the transportation of not more than two passengers within the Family Islands zones described in the First Schedule shall be as set out in the Second Schedule. (2) The maximum fare for the transportation of more than two passengers within the zones described in the First Schedule shall be three dollars for each additional passenger. (3) No fare shall be payable in respect of the transportation of any child under the age of three years if that child is accompanied by a passenger in respect of whom a fee is payable. (4) The maximum fares shall be — (a) where a cab is required to wait after being hired (except when hired by time) for every minute or part thereof ... 0.40c (b) for the carriage of — (i) not more than two pieces of hand baggage and small bags and packages carried by passengers …………………………….NIL (ii) every additional piece ………………0.75c (iii) large duffel bags and large boxes….$1.00 each.

FIRST SCHEDULE

NORTHERN ABACO DISTRICT ZONE 1 The Northern Abaco District zone shall be all that part of the Island of Abaco, which starts at the southern part of Leisure Lee thence eastwardly along an imaginary line at the high water mark of the sea shore line, thence northward along the shore line to the most northern point of Crown Haven, thence southward along the shore line to a point at the high water mark of the sea shore, thence eastward along an imaginary line to the point of commencement. SOUTH AND CENTRAL ABACO DISTRICT ZONE 2 The South and Central Abaco zone shall be all that part of the Island of Abaco which starts at the most Southern point of Leisure Lee then eastward along an imaginary line at the high water mark of the sea shore line, thence South along the sea shore line to the most southern point, thence west along the shore line to the most westward point at the high water mark of the sea shore line, thence east along the shore line to a point, thence northward along the shore line to a point, thence east along an imaginary line of commencement. ZONE 1 The North Andros zone shall be all that part of the Island of Andros which starts at the most northward part of Stafford Creek thence, westward along an imaginary line to a point, thence northward along the shore line to the most northern point of Red Bay, thence, eastward to the most eastward point of Morgan Bluff, thence southward along the shore line to the point of commencement.

CENTRAL ANDROS ZONE 2 The zone shall be all that part of the Island of Andros which starts at the Andros Town Airport, thence southward along Queens Highway, to the most southern part of Behring Point, thence west along an imaginary line to a point, thence northward along an imaginary line to a point then eastward along an imaginary line to a point at the most northern part of Stafford Creek, thence Southward along Queens Highway to the point of commencement. , ANDROS ZONE 3 The Mangrove Cay, Andros zone shall be all that part of the Island of Andros which starts at the Clarence Bain Airport, thence East along an unnamed road, thence southward along Queens Highway to Little Harbour, Burnt Rock, Pinders, Swains, Dorsette, Peats, Grants, Orange Hill, Victoria Point, Lisbon Creek, thence the most southern point at Lisbon Creek Dock, thence West along an imaginary line to a point at the high water mark of the sea shore, thence northward along the shore line to a point at the high water mark of the sea shore, thence eastward along an imaginary line to the point of commencement. ZONE 4 The South Andros zone shall be all that part of the Island of South Andros which starts at the Congo Town Airport, thence travel east along an unnamed road thence southward along Queens Highway to Drigg's Hill, Emerald Palms, Long Bay, Congo Town, Long Bay Cay, High Rock, The Bluff, The complex Smith's Hill, Kemp's Bay, Johnson's Bay, Black Point, Deep Creek, Little Creek, Pleasant Bay, thence the most southern point at Mars Bay, thence west along an imaginary line to a point at the high water mark of the sea shore line, thence northward along the shore line to a point at the high water mark of the sea shore line, thence eastward along an imaginary line to the point of commencement.

CAT ISLAND (Arthur's Town Airport) ZONE 1 All that part of Cat Island starting at the unnamed road situated in front of the Shanna Resort thence southward onto Queens Highway through the settlements of Bain's Town North, Orange Creek, The Lot to the unnamed junction connecting Arthur's Town Airport to the Settlement of Arthur's Town and Queen's Highway, thence continuing southward onto Queen's Highway through the settlements of Zion Hill, Dumfries, Bennett's Harbour, Rokers and a number of settlements including Old Bight, Port Howe, Devils Point, McQueen's and Hawk's Nest to the point of commencement. CAT ISLAND (New Bight Airport) ZONE 2 All that part of Cat Island starting at the unnamed road situated in front of the New Bight Airport, thence southward onto Queen's Highway through the settlements of New Bight, The Village, Old Bight, Cutlass Bay, Zanicle Hill, 'port Howe, Bain's Town, McQueen's and Devil's Point to the point of commencement. Thence northward onto Queen's Highway from the point of commencement through the setlements of Tea Bay, the Cove, Bluff, Bennett's Harbour and a number of settlements including Arthur's Town, Orange Creek and Shanna to the point of commencement. ELEUTHERA ( Airport) ZONE 1 All the part of Eleuthera starting at the unnamed road situated in front of the North Eleuthera Airport thence northward onto Queen's Highway to Three Island Dock, Gene's Bay, Preacher's Cave, Current, Current Ridge, The Bluff, and the surrounding settlements of Lower Bogue and Upper Bogue to the point of commencement. Thence from the point of commencement heading southward on Queen's Highway which passes through the Glass Window Bridge, Pineapple Cove, Gregory Town, Hatchet Bay, Rainbow Inn, James Cistern and Governor's Harbour Airport to the point of commencement.

ELEUTHERA (Governor's Harbour Airport) ZONE 2 All that part of Eleuthera starting at the unnamed road situated in front of the Governor's Harbour Airport thence southward onto Queen's Highway through the settlements and resorts of Tranquility Bay, Wykee's World, Eleuthera Marina, Governors Harbour, Ocean Coral, Spanish Maine, Palmetto Point, Rogues Cove, Savannah Sound, Windermere Island, Eleuthera Beach Inn, Tranquility Bay and Rock Sound Airport to the point of commencement. ELEUTHERA (Rock Sound Airport) ZONE 3 All that part of Eleuthera starting at the unnamed road situated in front of the Rock Sound Airport thence northward onto Queen's Highway which runs through the settlements and resorts of Rock Sound Club, Tarpum Bay, Winding Bay, Ingraham's Beach Inn, Savannah Sound, Windermere Island, Palmetto Point, Rogue's Cove, Governor's Harbour, Ocean Coral, Club Med, Governor's Harbour Airport to the point of commencement. Thence southward onto Queen's Highway from the point of commencement through the settlements and resorts of Rock Sound, Cotton Bay, Green Castle, Waterford, Davis Harbour, Wemyss Bight, John Millers, Bannerman Town, Deep Creek and Cape Eleuthera to the point of commencement. EXUMA ZONE 1 The Exuma taxi zone shall be all that part of the Island of Exuma which starts at the Exuma International Airport, thence eastward along an unnamed road, thence eastward to an imaginary line to a point at the high water mark of the sea shore, thence southward along the shore line to the most southern point at Pinkstone Cove, thence northward along the shore line to the most westward point at Deadman's Cay, thence eastward along the shore line, thence northward along the shore line to the most northern point at Pudding Point, thence southward along the shore line to the point of commencement.

LONG ISLAND ZONE 1 The Long Island zone shall be all that part of the Island of Long Island which starts at the Stella Maris Airport, thence eastward along unnamed road to Queens Highway, thence northward along Queens Highway to the most northern end point, thence southward along the shore line to the most southward end point, thence northward to the point of commencement.
