Keaton Inglis Earns All-American Honors May 21 @ TBD Muskegon Community College had three individuals who qualified to compete at the NJCAA National Tournament this week at Swan Lake Resort in Plymouth, IN. After the final round Keaton Inglis (Shelby HS) shot 72 for a 4 round total of 302, good for a tie for 18th place overall and earning him All-American honors. Zach Lisman (Spring Lake HS) shot a final round 88 and a total after 4 rounds of 341. Andrew McConnell shot a final round 84 for a 4 rounds total of 344. The update after 3 rounds has Keaton Inglis tied for 24th with a total of 230. Zach Lisman’s 3 round total is 253 and Andrew McConnell’s total is 260. Play will finish Friday, 5/24. After 2 rounds Keaton Inglis (Shelby HS) is tied for 18th with rounds of 78 & 74. Zach Lisman (Spring Lake HS) shot 82, 87 and Andrew McConnell (Shelby HS) shot 87, 85. Golf NJCAA Region XII Tournament-Bedford Valley Golf Course May 13 @ 9:00 am - 5:00 pm Jayhawks finish 4th at NJCAA Region XII Tournament, qualify 3 for NJCAA Nationals The second day of the NJCAA Region XII Golf Tournament wrapped up with the Jayhawks finishing in 4th place. GRCC finished in the top spot. MCC did have 3 golfers qualify to compete in the NJCAA National Tournament beginning on Tuesday, 5/21 at Swan Lake Resort in Plymouth, IN. Keaton Inglis (Shelby HS) shot a final round 76, Zach Lisman (Spring Lake HS) shot 78 and Andrew McConnell (Shelby HS) shot 81. Also scoring for MCC was Reid Sayles (Reeths-Puffer HS) and Cole Posthumus (Spring Lake HS). After two rounds at Bedford Valley Golf Course the Jayhawks are in 4th place. Keaton Inglis (Shelby HS) is currently in 2nd place with rounds of 72 and 78. Also scoring for MCC is Andrew McConnell (Shelby HS) 80 & 79, Zach Lisman (Spring Lake HS) 83 & 82, Cole Posthumus (Spring Lake HS) 79 & 88 and Reid Sayles (Reeths-Puffer HS) 84 & 88. The Region XII Tournament concludes today with 18 holes. Golf at MCCAA Tournament hosted by Jackson College-Arbor Hills Golf Course May 6 @ 9:00 am - May 7 @ 5:00 pm Jayhawks golfers finish 4th at MCCAA Tournament Muskegon Community College finished in 4th place at the MCCAA tournament at Arbor Hills Golf Course. The Jayhawks shot rounds of 322, 335 and 346. The top finisher for MCC was Keaton Inglis (Shelby HS) in 4th place overall, 3 shots off the lead. He shot 74, 71, 78. Also scoring for MCC was Zach Lisman (Spring Lake HS) tied for 15th, Reid Sayles (Reeths-Puffer HS) tied for 25th and Cole Posthumus (Spring Lake HS) in 37th. Next up for the Jayhawks will be the NJCAA Region XII Tournament on Monday and Tuesday, 5/13 and 5/14. They will compete at Bedford Valley GC in Battle Creek. Golf at Jackson College Invite-Ella Sharpe Park GC (Rescheduled from 4/19) May 3 @ 10:00 am - 5:00 pm Jayhawks finish 2nd in Western Conference Tournament Muskegon Community College finished runner-up to GRCC in the Western Conference Tournament at Jackson College. MCC was led by Keatin Inglis (Shelby HS) who shot 73, followed by Reid Sayles (Reeths-Puffer HS) with a 75, Zach Lisman (Spring Lake HS) with 78 and Cole Posthumous (Spring Lake HS) at 83. The Jayhawks are in action on Monday and Tuesday, 5/6-7 for the MCCAA Tournament at Arbor Hills GC in Jackson, MI. Golf Home-MCC Invite-Stonegate Golf Club April 26 @ 10:00 am - 5:00 pm Muskegon Community College finishes 2nd at Stonegate Muskegon Community College hosted the Jayhawk Invitational at Stonegate Golf Club. Grand Rapids Community College was the team champion with MCC finishing 2nd. Keaton Inglis (Shelby HS) was the top Jayhawk finisher, shooting 80. Zach Lisman (Spring Lake HS) shot 83, Reid Sayles (Reeths-Puffer HS) shot 89 and Cole Posthumous (Spring Lake HS) shot 90. The Jayhawks return to the link on Friday, 5/3 when they travel to Arbor Hills Golf Course in Jackson, MI for the MCCAA tournament, hosted by Jackson College. They are scheduled to tee off at 9:00 am. Golf at Invite-Flint Elks Golf Club April 22 @ 10:00 am - 5:00 pm Jayhawks finish 2nd at Mott Invite, Inglis medals The Muskegon Community College golfers shot a 318, good for 2nd place at the Mott Community College Invitational at the Flint Elks Golf Course. For the second straight tournament Keaton Inglis (Shelby HS) finished as the medalist with a 73. Also scoring for MCC were Zach Lisman (Spring Lake HS) with a 79, Reid Sayles (Reeths-Puffer HS) with an 81, Cole Posthumus (Spring Lake HS) with an 85 and Andrew McConnell (Shelby HS) with an 86. MCC returns to the links on Friday, 4/26 when they host the Muskegon Community College Invitational at Stonegate Golf Course. Teams will tee off at 10:00 am. Golf at Invite-Swan Lake Resort April 8 @ 10:00 am - 5:00 pm Keaton Inglis shoots 75 to medal at Swan Lake Resort Muskegon Community College opened the golf season at the Ancilla College Invitational at Swan Lake Resort in Plymouth, IN. MCC as a team shot 330, led by medal winner Keaton Inglis (Shelby HS) with 75, Reid Sayles (Reeths-Puffer HS) at 83, Andrew McConnell (Shelby HS) at 84, Zach Lisman (Spring Lake HS) at 88 and Cole Posthumus (Spring Lake HS) at 89. The Jayhawks next compete at Egypt Valley Country Club in the Grand Rapids Community College Invite on Monday, 4/15. Golf at AU Eagles Invite-Connemara Golf Course March 25 @ 9:00 am - March 26 @ 5:00 pm Jayhawks finish 8th as only CC team at Asbury University Invite. Muskegon Community College traveled to Kentucky for some early season golf. They competed at the Asbury University Invitational at Connemara Golf Course and they were the only community college team in the field. After the first day of golf Zach Lisman (Spring Lake HS) was tied for 5th with a 71, followed by Keaton Inglis (Shelby HS) with 75, Andrew McConnell (Shelby HS) with 79, Reid Sayles (Reeths- Puffer HS) with 82 and Cole Posthumus (Spring Lake HS) with 86. The Jayhawks are tied for 7th as a team with a 307. On day two is was Sayles with the low round of 77, followed by Lisman with 78 and Inglis with 79. McConnell shot 89 and Posthumus shot 91. The team finished with a score of 323. The Jayhawks are off now until Monday, 4/8 when they will travel to Plymouth, IN for the Ancilla College Invitational at Swan Lake Resort. Golf at Invitational – Chemung Hills Golf Club September 28, 2018 @ 9:30 am - 5:00 pm Jayhawks finish 8th in Cleary University Invitational. The Jayhawks had a tough day at the Cleary University Invitational with an 8th place finish, shooting 349. was winner with a 307. Scoring for MCC was Keaton Inglis (Shelby HS) with 78, Reid Sayles (Reeths-Puffer HS) with 82, Andrew McConnell (Shelby HS) with 92, Zach Lisman (Spring Lake HS) with 97 and Adam Boes (Spring Lake HS) with 101. Golf at Jackson College Fall Invitational – Arbor Hills GC September 21, 2018 @ 10:00 am - 5:00 pm Jayhawks finish 3rd at Jackson Invitational. Muskegon Community College finished in 3rd place in the 6 team invitational hosted by Jackson College at Arbor Hills. The Jayhawks shot 323. Keaton Inglis (Shelby HS) was the medalist with a 73. Also scoring for MCC was Reid Sayles (Reeths-Puffer HS) with 80, Andrew McConnell (Shelby HS) and Zach Lisman (Spring Lake HS) both with 85 and Adam Boes (Spring Lake HS) with 89. The Jayhawks return to the links on Monday, October 8th when they travel to the Schoolcraft Invitational. Golf at Muskegon Community College Invitational – Moss Ridge Golf Course September 16, 2018 @ 1:00 pm - 7:00 pm Jayhawks host the MCC invitational, finish tied for 2nd. The Jayhawks played host for the Muskegon Community College Invitational at Moss Ridge Golf Course on Sunday. GRCC was the top finisher, shooting 290. MCC and Jackson College finished tied for 2nd at 317. Keaton Inglis (Shelby HS) shot 76, followed by Reid Sayles (Reeths- Puffer HS) at 77, Andrew McConnell (Shelby HS) at 81, Zach Lisman (Spring Lake HS) at 83 and Adam Boes (Spring Lake HS) at 85. Next up for the Jayhawks is a match at Arbor Hills GC hosted by Jackson College on Friday, 9/21. Golf at Sam Kromer Invitational – Port Huron Elks Golf Club September 14, 2018 @ 10:00 am - 5:00 pm Jayhawk tie for 3rd place in first fall outing. The Jayhawk golf team traveled to Port Huron, MI for the Sam Kromer Invitational. Mott CC finished first with a 318. Muskegon Community College tied for 3rd, shooting a 329. MCC’s Keaton Inglis (Shelby HS) was the medalist with a 75. Also scoring for the Jayhawks was Andrew Mcconnell (Shelby HS) at 83, Zach Lisman (Spring Lake HS) at 85, Adam Boes (Spring Lake HS) at 86 and Reid Sayles (Reeths-Puffer HS) at 90. The Jayhawks will host an invitational on Sunday, 9/16 at Moss Ridge Country Club in Ravenna, MI.
