Vice President John Kennedy, Every year we strive to make the festival bigger & brighter and this year we are introducing amazing new infl atable’s in our Grand Opening Chairperson Susan Gaynor, Parade, playing host to Castlerea’s fi rst ever Bubble Soccer Tournament Vice Chairperson and we have not one but two of Ireland’s top entertainers - Michael English & Declan Nerney. Of course we are bringing back old favourites Christy Glynn, such as Live Pig Racing and by popular demand a spectacular fi reworks Secretary Marina O’, display and Sunday night will see the crowning of the new 2015 Rose of Treasurer Caroline Egan, Castlerea in a gala event in Th e Trinity Arts Centre. 11am Swimming Gala Castlerea Swimming Pool, The Demesne As well as the usual swimming events there will be a Penny Dive, Pyjama Race & other fun events. Open to all ages. This event is open to runners of all levels and walkers. Great fun for all the family! Registration will take place from 12 noon in the O’Rourke Centre, Castlerea. The Demesne with the race starting at 2.30pm sharp. Parking and changing facilities are available. Entry fee is €10 for 10km and €5 for 5km. U16’s must be accompanied by an adult. Each entrant will receive a medal on completion and tea/coff ee and light refreshments will be served during the presentations of prizes. 3pm Castlerea Heritage Walk Sponsored by AIB Throughout the Town The Heritage walk is the ideal way to explore this unique town which has been at the centre of Irish history since the time of the High Kings. We will stroll through 100’s of years of history until we reach Clonalis House, the ancestral home of the Clan O’Conor where refreshments will be served along with a tour of the house itself.
