Aufgrund der massiv gekürzten Speisekarte bei gleichzeitigen deutlichen Preisanstiegen haben Thorsten und Frank für Wetzlar eine neue Trekdinner-Location gesucht und gefunden. Das nächste Trekdinner findet am 08.09.2007 in der Gaststätte "Tasch´s" im SIXPACK in der Wetzlarer Spilburg statt. Neues Orga-Team für das Grill-Trek In den letzten Jahren haben Frank und Thorsten (2003-2004), Stefan und Antje (2005) und Frank und Rainer (2006-2007) das Grill-Trek organisiert. Nun hat sich ein neues Team gefunden: Sonja, Klaus, Marco und Jeannette werden sich um die Grillfeier im kommenden Jahr kümmern. Anfang 2008 beginnen laut TZN und RTL die Dreharbeiten zum ersten Film einer neuen Terminator-Trilogie. Darsteller aus den bekannten Filmen sollen nicht in das neue Projekt einbezogen werden, wobei einzig Arnold Schwarzenegger die Gelegenheit erhalten soll, für einen Cameo-Auftritt dabei zu sein. Der neue Rechteinhaber, die Firma Halcyon, hat John Brancato und Michael Ferris mit dem Drehbuch beauftragt, wohingegen wieder T3-Produzent Moritz Borman neben Viktor Kubicek und Derek Anderson mit der Produktion betraut werden soll. Die Kinopremiere von "Terminator Salvation: The Future Begins” ist für Frühjahr/Sommer 2009 geplant. Kommt der BSG-Ableger "Caprica" doch? Die Chancen, dass die erfolgreiche SciFi-Serie "Battlestar Galactica" doch ein Sideprojekt erhält sind gestiegen. Die amerikanische TV Week will erfahren haben, dass der US-Sender SciFI-Channel zumindest einen TV-Film drehen will. Zeitlich soll dieser TV-Film direkt dem bereits bestätigten BSG-Fernsehfilm "Razor" folgen. Capricas Szenario liegt ca. 40 Jahre vor der bekannten BSG-Zeitlinie. Neue Star Wars DVD-Box im November im Handel Amazon Deutschland hat für den nächsten Monat eine neue Star Wars DVD-Box angekündigt. Besonderheit der Box ist das Material. Die DVD-Box aus Blech bietet gleichwohl inhaltlich kaum Neuerungen. Außer dem neuen edleren Gewand handelt es sich vermutlich um die bekannte Box mit den Special Edition Fassungen der klassischen Star Wars Trilogie. Die Box dürfte damit ausschließlich für Sammler von Belang sein. Die immer wieder diskutierte Verpflichtung von William Shatner steht hingegen weiter in den sprichwörtlichen Sternen, da Regisseur und Produzent J.J. Abrams (u.a. "Lost", "Mission Impossible III") noch immer keine inhaltlich stimmige Einbeziehung des Captain Kirk-Darsteller finden könne. Aktuell laufen die Castings für weitere Rollen (Scotty: Simon Pegg, „Shaun of the Dead“), neben den bereits bestätigten Uhura (alt: Nichelle Nichols, neu: Zoe Soldana) und Chekov (alt: Walter Koenig, neu: Anton Yelchin). Chris Pine soll der neue Kirk werden. Laut aktuellen Meldungen ist Eric Bana für die Rolle des Bösewichts im Gespräch. Inhaltlich soll Star Trek XI ein Zeitreise-Film werden, bei dem ein Romulaner in der Zeit zurückreist, um James T. Kirk zu ermorden und die Zukunft der Föderation zu zerstören, wie u.a. Ain´t It Cool News meldete. Der Drehbeginn für Star Trek XI ist inzwischen für November 2007 angekündigt worden. Adventure. Hundreds of chap- ters worldwide link members into local fandom as well as the International organization. As a member of STARFLEET, you will receive a membership packet containing the basic supplies you need top get started on the road to becoming an active member in your local club. This packet contains: your membership certificate and card, a copy of the Membership Handbook, the Vessel Registry [a book containing all active chapters in the Fleet], a memo pad, and a application to Starfleet Academy. The membership handbook will introduce you to STARFLEET’s unique infrastructure that offers two membership options. One allows you to be an associate member with no obligation other than receiving membership materials and newsletters. The other option provides a more futuristic atmosphere for the fan intrigued by the Fleet structure within the Star Trek universe. After receiving the membership package you will have the oppor- tunity to sign aboard the chapter of your choice, hold a fictional rank and position and take part in that chapter’s Star Trek related activi- ties and community service endeavors, and other projects. Another service of STARFLEET is the COMMUNIQUE, our bi-monthly magazine, written by and for our members. The COMMU- NIQUE contains current information on STARFLEET operations and chapter activities, list of upcoming conventions, news and information on STAR TREK media and articles on the space program and other areas of interest to members.
