ABOUT UNIVERSITY COLLEGE „CEPS – CENTRE FOR BUSINESS STUDIES“ KISELJAK
The idea for the establishment of the University College "CEPS - Centre for Business Studies" Kiseljak was primarily born in order to satisfy the need for producing highly educated professionals who will successfully respond to modern business challenges, as well as with the aim of raising the quality of higher education in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
University College ―CEPS – Centre for Business Studies‖ Kiseljak is located in the Kiseljak, town 30 kilometers away from the capital city of Sarajevo.
Our long-term set mission is that we, with a lot of effort, dedication, and knowledge from both sides – our staff and our students – achieve our goal: best students and best higher education institution that this country has.
University College ―CEPS – Centre for Business Studies‖ Kiseljak was founded in 2010 starting with two study programs: Business Economics and Traffic Engineering. For the purpose of labor market needs three new study programs were introduced in 2013: Security studies, Safety and Energetics. Last two study programs: Health studies i Information technology were introduced in 2016 as well as a study program in English language: Business Economics.

ACTIVITIES
In the past six years, CEPS made a lot in gaining reputation as University that opens into the European initiatives, the development of intercultural awareness, knowledge transfer of students and professors and the development of competences and skills, at the regional and international level.

EDUCATION AGAINST CORRUPTION
University College ―CEPS – Centre for Business Studies‖ Kiseljak was a partner in the project ―Education against corruption‖, which is funded by the European Commission and implemented by the University ―ITC – Interlogos Center‖ from Kiseljak, together with the Agency for the prevention and coordination of the fight against corruption in B&H. The teaching staff of the University College has been an active participant since the beginning of the project.

XV DAYS OF CRIMINAL SCIENCES
In partnership with the Faculty of Criminalistics, Criminology and Security studies Sarajevo, the Centre for Social Research (Burch University) and the Directorate for Coordination of Police Bodies, were successfully realized three sessions of the international conference entitled ―XV Days of Criminal Justice Sciences‖.
INTERNATIONAL STANDARDS AND THE ROLE OF THE SECURITY SECTOR IN THE FIGHT AGAINST CORRUPTION
University College ―CEPS – Centre for Business Studies‖ was a partner and co-organizer of the workshop together with the Ministry of Security of B&H and UNDP of a seminar “International standards and the role of the security sector in the fight against corruption”, which was held from 05.10.2015. -09.10.2015 in the premises of the University.
INTERNATIONAL STANDARDS AND THE ROLE OF PROSECUTORS IN THE FIGHT AGAINST CORRUPTION - SURVEY RESULTS
University College "CEPS - Centre for Business Studies" Kiseljak was a partner in organizing the international workshop entitled: "International standards and the role of prosecutors in the fight against corruption - survey results", which was held in Mostar in the period March 22nd to 24th March 2016. The workshop was organized in addition with the Ministry of Security of Bosnia and Herzegovina, UNDP, University College "Logos Center" from Mostar and the Regional Anti-Corruption Initiative - RAI.
APPLICATION OF SPECIAL INVESTIGATIVE ACTIONS IN INVESTIGATIONS OF CORRUPTION OFFENSES – GOOD PRACTICES AND ESTABLISHED CHALLENGES
Regional Anti-corruption Initiative (RAI) in cooperation with Center for business studies (CEPS) and Agency for prevention of corruption and coordination of the fight against corruption (APIK) organized a roundtable on ―Application of special investigative actions in investigations of corruption offenses – good practices and established challenges‖ on 7 December 2017, in Kiseljak, Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Regional Anti-corruption Initiative (RAI) was represented by Head of Secretariat, Mr Vladan Joksimoviš, and Anti-corruption Expert, Mr Tomislav Šuriš. RAI also provided the participation of an International Expert, Mr Drago Kos.
The roundtable was organized with the purpose of supporting the implementation of measures from the Anti-Corruption Strategy in BiH foreseen in the Strategic Objective ―Improving the Efficiency and Effectiveness of Judicial Institutions and Law Enforcement Bodies in the field of Anti-corruption‖.
The aim of this roundtable was to exchange experiences and best practices in applying special investigative actions in investigations of criminal offenses with the characteristics of corruption in Bosnia and Herzegovina. There also was a presentation of good practices from the region as well as international standards for the application of special investigative techniques and the protection of human rights in their application. The roundtable also presented the results of the scientific work and activities of the academic community and the non-governmental sector in this area.
INTERNATIONAL SUMMER SCHOOL “CRISIS MANAGEMENT”
University College ―CEPS – Centre for Business Studies‖ was a partner in International summer school ―Crisis management‖ in cooperation with Faculty of Criminalistics, Criminology and Security studies Sarajevo, Federal Administration of Civil Protection, National Protection and Rescue Directorate of the Republic of Croatia, Faculty of Security Studies of University of Belgrade, University AAB in Pristina, University College ―Logos Center‖ from Mostar and Centre for Social Research ―Burch University‖ which was held in a period from 18.07.2016.to 22.07.2016.
INTERNATIONAL WINTER SCHOOL
"CORPORATE SECURITY AND PROTECTION"
International Winter School ―Corporate Security and Protection‖ was held in Sarajevo and on mountain Bjelašnica from 13.02.2017. – 18.02.2017.
In addition to the University of Sarajevo and the Ministry of Education, Science and Youth, partners of this program were University College "CEPS - Centre for Business Studies" from Kiseljak, MICROSOFT Bosnia and Herzegovina, and the Agency for the protection of people and property DSC.
In the winter school 40 students were involved, professionals and practitioners from institutions and organizations whose scope is a wider context of security and students from B&H and Croatia.
The goal of the winter school was to provide students with adequate knowledge in this field in order to contribute the fragmented system of protection of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
ERASMUS + PROJECTS
On the behalf of previously signed agreements University College ―CEPS – Centre for Business Studies‖ was able to gain three projects of KA1 with school IES Ribeira do Louro from Spain, Direccion Xeral de Educacion, FP e Innovacion Educativa from Saintago de Compostela (Spain) and Kodolanyi Janos University of Applied Sciences. First one, with IES Ribeira do Louro is being implemented in 2016 and 2017, while other two projects will be implemented in 2017 (for students)
KA1 – RIBEIRA DO LOURO
After signed the Inter-institutional agreement with the school IES Riberira to Louro Porrino (Spain), and gaining the ERASMUS + project on the mobility of students and teachers, in September 2016 University College ―CEPS – Centre for Business Studies‖ started with project implementation. Six (6) students of ―CEPS - Centre for Business Studies "Kiseljak went on a study exchange to Spain for a period of four and a half months, from 09.15.2016. - 01.31.2017., and 2 student school IES Ribeira do Louro Porrino were welcome to our Institution for a period of 3 months, from 20.09.2016. - 20.12.2016. In the context of the teachers, Referent of the International Relations and Career Development went to Spain for a period of 7 days, as of 15.09.2016. - 22.09.2016 and also three professors have gone for a period of 14 days from 06.10.2016. - 20.10.2016.
KA1 – KODOLANYI JANOS UNIVERSITY OF APPLIED SCIENCES
Also, in 2016 began the implementation of the ERASMUS + project with Kodolányi János University of Applied Sciences (Hungary). According to this project, three Professors from "CEPS - Centre for Business Studies" Kiseljak have stayed in Hungary five days, from 02.11.2016. - 06.11.2016. and 3 students of University College "CEPS - Centre for Business Studies" Kiseljak will stay in Budapest 4 months, from 28.01.2016. - 28.05.2016. It is planned that two professors from Kodolányi János University of Applied Sciences stay in Kiseljak, for the period of 5 days.
KA1 - DIRECCION XERAL DE EDUCACION, FP E INNOVACION EDUCATIVA FROM SAINTAGO DE COMPOSTELA (SPAIN)
Based on the resulting project with the Direccion Xeral de Educacion, FP e Innovacion Educativa from Saintago de Compostela (Spain) 4 professors have gone for a period of five days, from 20.11.2016. - 27.11.2016 and 5 Professor will go in Spain for a period of five days, from 06.02.2017. - 10.02.2017. Also, in the coming academic year 8 students of the University College "CEPS - Centre for Business Studies" will go to Spain for a period of four and a half months. On the other hand, 13 Professors will come in Kiseljak for a period of 14 or 7 days.
KA1 – IES POLITECNICO DE VIGO (SPAIN)
Based on the resulting project with the IES Politecnico de Vigo (Spain) 3 students have gone to Spain for a period of 4, from 01.10.2017. - 31.01.2018. year.
The students are from study direction Energetics and Work Safety and Fire Protection.
KA1 – SKODA AUTO UNIVERSITY (CZECH REPUBLIC)
Based on the resulting project with the Skoda Auto University (Czech Republic) 4 professors have gone to Mlada Boleslav for a period of five days, from 26.02.2018. - 02.03.2018 (2 Professors) and from 19.03.2018. – 23.03.2018. (2 Professors). Also, in the coming academic year 6 students of the University College "CEPS - Centre for Business Studies" will go to Czech Republic for a period of 1 semester. Currently, 1 students from CEPS is in Czech Republic.
INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE “THE EXCHANGE OF SCIENTIFIC KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCES OF STUDENTS AND TEACHERS FROM SPAIN AND BOSNIA AND HERZEGOVINA”
On 19th April 2017, in organization of University College ―CEPS – Centre for Business Studies‖ Kiseljak, with partners from University College ―Logos center‖ Mostar and University College ―CMS – Center for multidisciplinary studies‖ Tuzla, was held an International conference entitled ―The exchange of scientific knowledge and experiences of students and teachers from Spain and Bosnia and Herzegovina‖. The conference represented the implementation of the ERASMUS + project obtained with the Galicia region ―Direccion Xeral de educacion, fp e innovacion educativa from Saintago de Compostela‖. The conference was attended by 13 Professors from 7 Institutions from Spain: Ies Cidade De Antioquia, IES de Teis, IES Valga, Ies Escolas Proval, Ies Leixa, Ies Marques De Sargadelos, Ies Politécnico Vigo and Ies Ramon Mª Aller Ulloa.
INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE “EXCHANGE OF EXPERIENCE AND PRACTICES IN HIGHER EDUCATION IN SPAIN AND BOSNIA AND HERZEGOVINA”
On 12th December 2017, An international conference titled "Exchange of experience and practices in higher education in Spain and Bosnia and Herzegovina" was held in the premises of the University College ―CEPS - Center for Business Studies " Kiseljak.
The conference was organized by the University College "CEPS - Center for Business Studies" Kiseljak together with partner institutions, University College "CMS - Center for Multidisciplinary Studies" Tuzla, University College "Logos Center" Mostar and University "ITC - Interlogos Center" Kiseljak . The conference was attended by 11 professors from various institutions from Spain, professors from partner institutions from Bosnia and Herzegovina, and students.
The main goal of the conference was the exchange of experiences and practices in higher education between institutions from Spain and Bosnia and Herzegovina. The conference was facilitated through the obtained ERASMUS + mobility project for students and professors with the Government of Galicia (Spain).
JOURNAL “THE SOCIAL AND TECHICAL RESEARCH”
From 2015, University College ―CEPS – Centre for Business Studies‖ Kiseljak has started its own Journal named ―The social and technical research‖ (original ―Društvena i tehnička istraţivanja). The journal is published biannually. Three numbers of the Journal have been published already. The journal ―The social and technical research‖ is indexed/abstracted in Index Copernicus International i CEEOL (Central and Eastern European Online Library). We are inviting all interested authors to publish their articles in our journal.
OUR INTEREST
Although we do not exist for a long period of time, we believe that we have done quite a few things that should present our institution as a serious partner in cooperation.
University College ―CEPS – Centre for Business Studies‖ Kiseljak is interested in different projects of interest for HEI. Each study program is interested in various projects in their segment. It could include different KA projects, capacity building projects, workshops, realization of joint seminars, summer schools, joint conferences and etc.
