Greeting:

Appointment I. We do, by this Our Commission under Our Sign Manual and the Public Seal of the State of Tasmania, of the Barbara Avalon Baker, to appoint you, the said Barbara Avalon Baker, to be during Our pleasure, Our Governor in and over Our State of be Governor. Tasmania and its Dependencies, in the Commonwealth of Australia, with all the powers, rights, privileges and advantages to the said Office belonging or appertaining.

II. And We do hereby authorise, empower, and command you to exercise and perform all and singular the powers and directions contained in certain Letters Patent under the Public Seal of the State of Tasmania, bearing the date the 21st day of November 2005, constituting the Office of Governor in and over Our State of Tasmania and its Dependencies, in the Commonwealth of Australia, or in any other Letters Patent adding to, amending, or substituted for the same, and according to such Orders and Instructions as the Governor for the time being of the said State has already received, or as you may hereafter receive from Us.

Commission III. And We do hereby appoint that so soon as you have taken the usual Oaths and have entered appointing upon the duties of your Office of Governor, this Our present Commission shall supersede the Commission under Our Catherine (Kate) Sign Manual, bearing date the 25th day of November 2014, appointing Our Trusty and Well-beloved the Honourable Ann Warner AC, Catherine (Kate) Ann Warner, Companion of the Order of Australia, to be Governor of Our State of Tasmania and superseded its Dependencies.

Officers etc, IV. And We do hereby command all and singular Our Officers, Ministers, and loving subjects to obey the in Our said State and its Dependencies, and all others whom it may concern, to take due notice hereof and to give Governor. their ready obedience accordingly.

And Whereas it is expedient for the session of the Parliament of Our State to be opened by Commissioners:

We do by these Our Letters Patent appoint you the said Ruth Jane Forrest, Leonie Anne Hiscutt and Tania Verene Rattray, or any two of you, to be Commissioners with full power in Our name in the name of Our Governor of Our said State to do things which are to be done on Their part in this Parliament

I, The Honourable Barbara Baker, Companion of the Order of Australia,Governor in and over the State of Tasmania and its Dependencies in the Commonwealth of Australia DO by this my Proclamation announce and declare that under and by virtue of the power vested in me by section 3(2) of the Promissory Oaths Act 2015, I have this day authorised DAVID THOMAS PEARCE, Clerk of the Legislative Council and CATHERINE LOUISE VICKERS, Deputy Clerk of the Legislative Council of the said State, on my behalf to tender to Members of the Legislative Council the Oath of Allegiance prescribed by the Promissory Oaths Act 2015 to be taken and subscribed by Members of the said Council as soon as practicable after becoming such a Member, and, in accordance with section 30 of the Constitution Act 1934, before such a Member of the said Council may vote or act therein.
