I grew up in rural Alaska, and have lived in Bristol Bay for twenty-five years now and I believe that our region has much to offer those of us who choose to make our lives here.

Our

Cooperative is critical to our ability to maintain our way of life here. The services we provide are essential to our communities' economic well-being. For the past eleven years, as a member of our Nushagak Cooperative Board of Directors, I have worked with other board members to look at alternative energy sources to help offset rising costs driven by historically high fuel prices and to try to improve our services in telecommunications. We have upgraded and improved our internet services dramatically through partnerships built with other providers in our region, but as things are changing rapidly, there is still a lot of work to be done to grow in this area. As a Cooperative, we will be presented with continuing challenges in the coming years. I believe that we need to continue to make an effort to seek out and effectively utilize practical alternative energy sources and to improve our telecommunications offerings. To meet the challenges we face, we, as a board and as member-owners, will have to ask hard questions as we consider possible solutions. As fuel costs have begun to rise again and Steve Noonkesser new bandwidth-driven communication challenges have arisen we will need creative thinking PO Box 1035 and good sound decision-making as a cooperative. I hope to continue to help the board ask Aleknagik, AK 99576 the questions needed to make decisions that are in the best interests of the (907) 842-3598 membership. My primary goal as a board member is to continue to listen to our members' needs and to support our Cooperative in an effort to provide high quality, reliable and affordable service to all of our members. I would appreciate yo ur vote.

My name is Henry Strub and I am seeking another term on the Nushagak Cooperative Board of Directors and would appreciate your vote. I have over 30 Years of experience on the Board of Directors and hold executive committee positons with statewide cooperative organizations that I believe are advantageous to our cooperative. I consider myself to be semi-retired from and engineering and construction career and am a commercial fisherman and have whatever time is required to serve as a director. I believe that the not-for profit, member owned cooperative is the best way for us to provide the most essential services of a community. The Annual meeting will be an opportunity for the member/owners to be updated on future plans as developed by the board and management. We continue to evaluate alternative sources that make economic s ense, plan for necessary system modernization, and seek

partners in areas where we aren’t able to produce the whole product. Henry Strub I am confident that we have a good team, management and employees and it is reflected by the lowest power rates in Western Alaska. PO Box 493 Dillingham, AK 99576
