In late April, 1962, Capitol made available an eleven-track various-artists compilation of songs from new and recent albums. The record, Who’s News (Capitol NP-1) sold for 99¢ and was housed in an inner sleeve only – no cardboard cover. The album sold quite well and was soon being pressed by both the LA and Scranton factories.
