PRESQUE ISLE CELLARS SHINES AT JAMES SUCKLING AMERICAN WINE REVOLUTION TASTING

Presque Isle Wine Cellars was honored to be among a select group of non-Pacific Coast US invited to submit to the American Wine Revolution Tasting convened by world renowned wine writer and critic James Suckling and his team. Presque Isle Wine Cellars submitted three of its wines: 2016 Dornfelder, 2017 Gruner Veltliner, and 2016 . Each wine scored very well, achieving scores of 90, 88, and 86, respectively.

Commentary about the submitted wines include the following about the 2016 Dornfelder, a wine that also won Pennsylvania’s Best Dry for 2018:

A very good Dornfelder with dark berries, dark chocolate and a hint of nutmeg on the nose and palate. Full-bodied, chewy.

Presque Isle Wine Cellars is grateful for the opportunity this platform provided it and other great wineries outside of California, Washington, and Oregon to show that worthy wines are hiding in broad daylight in unexpected places across this country.

Presque Isle Wine Cellars’ wines can be purchased at its Isle House Tasting Room at 9440 W Main Road in North East, its Presque Isle Wine Cellars at the Colony location at 2658 W. 8th Street in Erie, at its newest location in the Robinson Town Centre in Pittsburgh, PA, local Erie Wegmans locations, select Tops Friendly Markets locations, and at Giant Eagle Millcreek Marketplace and Harborcreek locations in Erie.
