Ward:

Sacrament Meeting, Sunday, Aug 16th, 9:45 – 11:00 AM

o For an electronic copy of the bulletin, please click the following link to the Ward “Weekly Bulletins” webpage, where you find downloadable bulletins: https://canyoncreekward.org/weekly-bulletin. Thanks to Michelle and Chad Olson for publishing our Ward Bulletin each week. o This upcoming Sunday, we invite Cohort “B” which includes last names M-Z to participate in person at the 24th Street Chapel. Please not that those who have been especially invited, i.e.: Ushers, Priesthood holders for administration of the Sacrament, Speakers, Bishopric members, and families or individuals without a holder of the priesthood authorized to bless the Sacrament in their homes are also invited to attend each week. o Entrance/Exit for Sacrament Meeting: The only entrance and exit in and out of the building will be the SOUTH door to accommodate any with disabilities, as the South entrance has handicapped access and parking spots marked. o Again, please note that any families or individuals without a holder of the priesthood authorized to bless the Sacrament in their homes may attend Sacrament meeting each and every week. o The Bishop's temporary authorization for worthy holders of the priesthood with proper authority to prepare, bless, and pass the Sacrament in the homes of our members remains in force for those not in attendance at the Chapel. o Sacrament meeting will be streamed via YouTube to those who are not attending in person. If you are not familiar with how to stream Sacrament meeting yet, we encourage you to read the more detailed instructions (below) prior to tuning in this upcoming Sunday. \ o Fast and Testimony Meeting will be held on the first Sunday of each month. For the time being, each cohort will be able to attend F&T Meeting once every two months. Families are encouraged to hold a Fast and Testimony meeting in the home on those Fast Sundays you are unable to attend in person. o Mandatory Mask Temporary Calgary City Bylaw 26M2020 – Aug 1, 2020: Places of Worship are included in the bylaw. For questions concerning this bylaw, please call -311- or visit the following link: https://www.calgary.ca/csps/abs/bylaws-by-topic/face-covering-bylaw.html. If you have your own mask, please wear it. If you do not, a mask will be provided for you in the South foyer. Keep masks donned at all times while inside the chapel except while partaking of the or speaking from the pulpit. Hand sanitizer will be provided for you as you enter the South foyer. o Please be attentive and courteous to our ushers and allow them to seat you without disturbance - please note that you may be seated in an area of the chapel you are not used to! Thank you for your patience with this protocol. o Brethren and boys 12 and up: WE NEED YOU. If you are worthy and willing to prepare/pass/bless the sacrament, please arrive at the chapel at 9:30 AM sharp. The protocols require bread/GF offerings/water to be judiciously distributed in sacrament cups, which will prolong the time for its preparation and distribution. Gloves and masks (if you do not have your own) will be provided for you. Note that those breaking bread will use their carefully disinfected hands, not gloves to prepare the emblems of the body of the Savior, but those passing the sacrament will wear gloves - all per Church protocols.

We are required to sanitize the high-touch areas of the chapel and building prior to exiting for the day. During the meeting we will ask for volunteers to help with this, and we would very much appreciate your help! Thank you!
