Michael Sugirin is Managing Director & Country Head of Transaction Banking at Standard Chartered.

Michael is a global transaction banker with extensive experience in sales advisory, product management, and project implementation. He is a business executive with exceptional ability to drive change, innovation and growth. Recognized leader in supply chain finance, financial supply chain services, mobile applications and complex global treasury solutions. Moekti Prasetiani Soejachmoen Head Mandiri Institute

Born in 1969, Ms. Soejachmoen got her Ph.D. in Economics from the Australian National University in 2012. She holds master’s degree in Economics from University of California Davis (1998) and a bachelor’s degree in Economics from University of (1992). She is an economist with over 20 years’ experience in finance, international trade, micro and macroeconomics and development economics at academia as well as development level.

She began her career as a researcher in 1993 – 1996 with the Center for Policy and Implementation Studies.

In 1999, Ms. Soejachmoen worked at Harvard Institute for International Development.

From 2001 – 2005 she served as one of the lead FSNs in USAID mission, Jakarta in the capacity of a Program Development Specialist.

In 2005 – 2007 she joined Centre for Strategic and International Studies and provided technical assistance to the Indonesian government agencies, such as – Ministry of Trade, Ministry of Economy, Ministry of Finance, and Ministry of Agriculture.

In 2012 she was a Senior Economist at the USAID’s Support for Economic Analysis Development for Indonesia and works on poverty and macroeconomics issues.

She joins Bank Mandiri in April 2014 as a Head of Mandiri Institute. Prior to that, she works with the National Team for Poverty Alleviation under the Vice President Office.

She has published multiple journal and articles on the subjects, such as finance, trade policy, industry globalization, ASEAN free trade agreements, Indonesian manufacturing and export competitiveness. She has conducted comparative studies on free trade and economic partnership agreements in ASEAN countries.

Rangga Cipta Economist Samuel Sekuritas

Rangga is an Economist at Samuel Sekuritas Indonesia. Prior to this, he has served as an economist to Bank Sumitomo Mitsui and Bank Internasional Indonesia.

He received his Bachelor Degree from the University of Indonesia in 2009, whilst simultaneously holding a post at the Department of Economics.

He has also published numerous articles for The Jakarta Post that pertain to Indonesia’s economy.

Finbarr Bermingham is the Asia Editor of GTR, based in Hong Kong. He has working in Hong Kong for one year, having previously been based in and South Korea. As Asia Editor, Finbarr responsible for all Asia coverage in the magazine and its supplements and regularly travels to events around the region. He appears regularly in the international media to discuss Asian issues, particularly those associated with trade and development.

He previously worked as the Trade Correspondent for the International Business Times in London, reporting most regularly on international trade and development, sanctions, free trade agreements and commodities fraud. His reporting has also appeared in a host of national and international titles, including Al Jazeera, the Times of London, The Asia Times and the Irish News.

Ridwan Susanto Senior Vice-president Commodity & Structured Trade Finance HSBC

Ridwan Susanto was born in in March 1967 and graduated in 1990 from Bandung Institute of Technology (Bachelor Degree of Civil Engineering majoring in Construction Management) in Bandung, West Java. Career started with PT Bank Niaga as management trainee and continues his service with some local and foreign in Jakarta and Singapore.

Ridwan gained knowledge in marketing within commercial and corporate banking sector with experience in banks namely PT Bank Niaga, PT , PT Fujibank International Indonesia, PT Bank Rabobank International Indonesia, PT Bank Pikko which merged into PT Bank Century, PT Bank Mega, all in Jakarta. Ridwan also experienced private banking during 2008-2009 with UBS in Singapore.

During more than 10 latest years, Ridwan focuses his expertise in trade and commodity finance by his role in marketing, risk management, and special assets management in commodity business. In 2013, he set up CSTF (Commodity and Structure Trade Finance) team in HSBC Jakarta as part of Global CSTF set up. His role is CSTF Country Head Indonesia with main task is to support commodity business both in Global Banking and Commercial Banking. He currently manages a team of 7 members and managing about 40 groups of client in commodity sectors.

Chong Peng Loo Managing Director Synergy Energy Labuan

CP Loo is the managing director and co-founder of Synergy Energy (Labuan) Ltd. CP has been in the oil and gas industries for the last 6 years. Before he co-founded Synergy Energy, he was the executive director of Mercuria Resources Ltd (Thailand) from 2009 to 2013 and later he set up the Mercuria Resources Labuan Ltd in 2013 in Kuala Lumpur. He was involved in the development of renewable energy business, coal business and petroleum product business. Also, he is involved in the set-up of company procedures and day-to-day operation for both companies.

Before joining Mercuria, CP has been in the IT industry for more than 30 years. His last position was the M.D of Sun Microsystems Malaysia where he was responsible for the overall P/L, sales and operation of the company. He hold many senior positions including country sales director, regional sales director, channel director, Head of Software Sales during his 12 years tenure with Sun Microsytems, once a Fortune 500 company.

Risman joined Citi in late 2010 and prior to Citi, he had been worked for several others Bank including Standard Chartered Bank, DBS, and SMBC where he brings 15 years of experience in Trade handling various kinds of Trade Products including Documentary LCs, Open Account Financing, Supply Chain Financing, and Structured Trade & Commodity Products e.g. Warehouse Finance, Credit Insurance backed Account Receivables, and Factoring.

Risman holds a Bachelor Degree in Industrial Engineering from Trisakti University and a Double Degree Master in Magister Management from , Indonesia and Master of Science in International Business from CERAM School of Business in Sophia Antipolis, France.

Bashar Barakat Senior Representative, Indonesia Commerzbank

A graduate and post graduate (MA) of the University of Bonn in economics, Bashar joined Dresdner Bank AG in 1992. He has a broad range of experience in the Credit-Risk-Assessment and Corporate as well as FI Relationship Management both on the Investment banking as well as on the Commercial Banking side. He worked in Dresdner’s Head Office as well as in Dusseldorf, London and Dubai. From 2000 to 2004 Regional Head Project & Export Finance Middle East based in Dubai and subsequently Regional Head Gulf Countries & Yemen. After the take over by Commerzbank in 2009 he became Senior Manager at Commerzbank AG. Since 2012 Bashar is heading up Commerzbank’s Representative Office in Indonesia as a Senior Representative.

Amerta Mardjono Country Manager, Indonesia Wells Fargo

Amerta Mardjono is a senior banker and is the Country Manager and Chief Representative of Wells Fargo Bank, N.A. Jakarta Representative Office, a position which he has held since October 1, 2012.

Prior to his current role, he has held senior positions in Indonesian finance and banking sector, such as Director, Head of Financial Institutions Group at the , N.V. Indonesia Branch (2011-2012), Director, Head of Debt Capital Market (2010-2011) and SVP, Head of Financial Institutions

Group and Public Sector (2008-2010) both at Bank ANZ Indonesia, Head of Non-Bank Financial Institutions at Bank Permata (2007-2008), President Commissioner at HSBC Securities Indonesia (2007), and Head of Institutional Banking at HSBC Indonesia (2006-2007). His early finance and banking career started in 1995 to 1998 with Bankers Trust Lippo Finance as a Credit Analyst and Assistant Treasurer, followed by a role as a Manager of Special Credit Group with ABN AMRO Bank, N.V. Indonesia from 1998 to 1999. His professional journey also included an intense bank restructuring and resolution role during the Asian financial crisis, with the Indonesian Bank Restructuring Agency (IBRA) from 1999 to 2004 with the last position as Vice President, Group Head of Banking Planning and Development at Bank Restructuring Unit, responsible for the restructuring, capitalization, mergers and divestments of bank take overs as well as for the early development of the Indonesian Deposit Insurance Corporation (IDIC).

Amerta holds securities underwriter (1997) and investment manager (2002) licenses from the Indonesian Capital Market Professional Standard Board and is Level III BSMR risk management certified (2009) from GARP-BSMR-Bank Indonesia banking risk management certification program. He also holds International Certificate in Banking Risk and Regulation from Global Association of Risk Professionals (2009).

Awarded the Best Doctorate Student from Victoria University of Technology, Melbourne, Australia in 2005 and the Highest Score Achiever of Level III BSMR risk management examination from GARP-BSMR- Bank Indonesia in 2009, Amerta pursued his higher education and was a candidate in the DBA program at the Victoria University of Technology, Melbourne, Australia (2004-2006), completed his MBA program at the University of Central Arkansas, USA (1993-1995) and graduated with Sarjana Ekonomi from Universitas Pancasila, Jakarta, Indonesia (1988-1992).

In addition to his professional life, Amerta has contributed to the academic world by lecturing corporate finance, financial markets, international business and investments for both undergraduate and graduate students at the Swiss German University (SGU), Bumi Serpong Damai, Indonesia (2001-2006), including a stint as SGU’s Dean of the Faculty of Business Administration (2005-2006). He published his research interests in reputable publications such as Managerial Auditing Journal (2005), Jurnal Manajemen Prasetya Mulya (2005), Business Indonesia Daily (2004), Kompas Daily (2004) and Suara Karya Daily (2002).

Amerta enjoys intercultural learning and was part of American Field Service (AFS) exchange student for 1 year in the city of Dunedin, New Zealand in 1987. He is an avid runner, swimmer, cyclist and golfer.

Kaushik Mukherjee Head of Trade, South & South East Asia International Trade Services, Trade Wells Fargo

Kaushik Mukherjee is a Senior Vice President and Head of Trade, South & South-East Asia and Australia, for International Trade Services at Wells Fargo.

Kaushik joined Wells Fargo Hong Kong in 2011, from Axis Bank where he spent 14 years within Trade Operations, International Banking, Corporate Trade & Cash Management, Credit and Treasury in Mumbai and Hong Kong.

With Wells Fargo, Kaushik managed the trade business for India subcontinent and Hong Kong for first two years and then moved to Singapore to oversee trade for India sub continent, South-east Asia and Australia. Currently he is designated as Head of Trade for South Asia (which includes Indian sub- continent, South-east Asia and Australia). He and his team manage both corporate and FI trade in the region, promoting trade business of the bank to both FI as well as corporate clients of the bank.

Ricky Natapradja Director Development Allianz

Ricky was appointed in December 2013 as Director of Credit Insurance Division for PT Asuransi Allianz Utama Indonesia (Country Manager – Euler Hermes Indonesia). He is responsible for managing the development of the Credit Insurance business portfolio and operations, and leads the team of Business Development Managers, Credit Risk Analysts and Risk Underwriters in Indonesia, working together with the Euler Hermes ASEAN & APAC Teams. Under his leadership the Trade Credit Insurance portfolio of Allianz Utama Indonesia has grown by 200% in the last 2 years.

He has over 20 years working experience in the Asia Pacific Region. During the last 10 years of his career he has held several Senior Positions. From 2003 to 2006 he was a Director of a Banking Advisory and Project Development & Finance Consulting Firm based in Jakarta and was successful in raising finance for construction, marine vessel, plant, machinery & equipment acquisition, working capital, and trade finance (A/R and Supply Chain). In 2006 he entered the Insurance industry where he was appointed as Divisional Director for PT Willis Indonesia (Insurance Brokers & Risk Consultants). Prior to joining Allianz, from January 2008 to December 2013 he was Vice President – Strategic Business Development for PT Howden Insurance Brokers Indonesia (previously known as PT Accette Broker Asuransi) where he lead the development and growth of Trade Credit Insurance Business as a specialist line of business.

Ricky is a qualified Civil Engineer and has post graduate qualifications in Business (Management & Finance) and Engineering Management from Sydney Australia, where he lived for 25 years. He also has professional insurance qualifications such as Ahli Pialang Asuransi Indonesia (APAI) and Certified Insurance & Reinsurance Broker (CIIB). Ricky has also completed insurance training in the Lloyds Insurance Markets in London and Hong Kong.

Badruz Zaman Director Development Asei Asuransi

Mr. Badruz Zaman has a bachelor degree in Electric Engineering and Masters degree in Business Administration. He is currently pursuing his doctoral degree in Economic science and Management.

He entered ASEI in 1993 and and since then he has been assigned to various functions and obtained many experiences in almost all levels in ASEI.

In 2012, Mr. Badruz was given the challenging task by the management to lead and revive ASEI’s credit insurance division, which at the time were not performing/developing well. His extensive knowledge, experience and network in dealing with or managing trade credit/trade finance portfolios with banks became a beneficial factor in developing ASEI’s credit insurance business. ASEI signed numerous agreements with state-owned and regional-state owned banks where ASEI would insure the banks’ trade financing facilities. During his tenure, ASEI also developed its domestic credit (non-bank) insurance business, initially starting off from insuring blue-chip/joint venture accounts which now also encompasses local Indonesian companies.

In August 2013, Mr. Badruz was appointed by the Minsitry of SOE’s as ASEI’s Director of Operations and he continues to serve as the Director of Development under the newly established Asuransi ASEI

Indonesia, where he is directly responsible for the development of ASEI’s inward reinsurance and credit insurance business.

Dominik Joerg Zimmer Head ECA Desk, Asia Landesbank Baden-Württemberg

Dominik Zimmer is the Head of ECA Desk Asia at LBBW, Germany's largest Landesbank and 4th-largest commercial Bank. Based in Singapore, his team covers South East Asia with a focus on supporting Exporters from Germany, Austria and Switzerland by arranging ECA covered financings for their regional customers. He has successfully contributed to the structuring of ECA covered loans in Indonesia in various sectors such as power generation, construction, wood processing, packaging and consumer goods. Dominik has 10 years of experience in Export Finance and Corporate Banking based in Singapore from 2005-2008 and in Germany from 2009-2014. He joined LBBW in 2014 to set up the bank’s regional ECA Desk. He previously served as in-house strategic counsel at a Japanese automotive corporation. He holds a master's degree in International Management from Kufstein University of Applied Sciences in Austria.

Helen Clark Head of Singapore; Deputy Regional Head, Asia Trade Credit & Political Risks Aon

Helen heads up the 12-strong Trade Credit & Political Risk team in Singapore, and is also Regional Deputy Head of Trade Credit in Asia. The team manages & develops a portfolio of trade credit & political risk related risks, including global programs for Fortune 500 companies.

Helen has been working in trade credit insurance for 28 years, as an underwriter until joining Aon in June 2012: firstly for 8 years at RSA and followed by 16 years at Euler Hermes. At Euler Helen was responsible for the Strategic Accounts & SME portfolios in the USA, plus the Americas’ World Agency book, before moving to Singapore to become the Regional Commercial Director. A UK national, she started in the London market; followed by 9 years in the US; and has been in Singapore since 2009. Helen is married, with two sons.

Arnon Goldstein Head Sales & Relationship Management, Asia Pacific BNY Mellon

Arnon Goldstein is Head of Sales & Relationship Management for BNY Mellon’s Treasury Services business in Asia Pacific. In this role, Arnon directs BNY Mellon’s Treasury Services business and relationship management in Asia. Products include cash/ payments, trade processing/ trade finance, liquidity and foreign exchange.

Prior to assuming this role, Arnon was Head of Sales and Relationship Management for Treasury Services in South APAC since 2012. Arnon has been involved with the Transaction Banking and Client Management businesses for more than 19 years – holding positions of increasing seniority in New York, Shanghai and Singapore. He joined BNY Mellon in 1996 as a credit trainee. That role exposed him to the wide range of services offered by the bank, including those of the Treasury Services business. In 1999, Arnon moved to China, where he worked as part of the team responsible for opening the bank's Shanghai branch, and was heavily involved in the development of the bank's Trade Services business. In 2003, Arnon relocated to Singapore to establish the Credit Underwriting function supporting the Treasury Services business, and also became responsible for marketing Trade Services across the South APAC region. In 2007, Arnon joined Global Client Management in Singapore, initially with responsibility for Singaporean clients, and subsequently for clients in India and the Philippines as well.

Arnon is a member of BNY Mellon’s Asia Pacific Executive and Operating Committees and previously served as a coordinating member of the Asia Revenue Council and its Cross Referral Program. He is BNY

Mellon’s representative on the Asia Council of BAFT. Arnon holds both a bachelor’s degree and a master’s degree from Columbia University in and has studied Mandarin Chinese and Arabic.
