The mission of the OGDEN MUSEUM OF SOUTHERN ART is to broaden the knowledge, understanding, interpretation and appreciation of the visual arts and culture of the American South through its events, permanent collections, changing exhibitions, educational programs, publications and research. Our brand embodies this mission, by being simple, modern and clean it creates an open and welcoming environment that invites ALL to experience the resounding impact the art and culture of the American South has had on the world. The brand’s simplicity is aimed to enhance the museum’s exhibitions, events, and educational programs rather than distract from the experience. This branding & style guide is intended to create a cohesive and consistent look and feel that ensure a recognizable, respectable, and impactful brand.

Red is the primary color of the Ogden Museum and therefore should be utilized in some aspect in all corporate branding. However, we do not wish to outshine/distract from our logo by over use of the red. Remember that less is more, and a minimalist, modern, simple design enhances the overall brand of the museum.
