SUBJECT TOPICALLY REFERENCED UNDER: Prophecy, Resurrection Sunday, Hosanna, King Jesus

Luke 24:1-43 Now on the first day of the week, very early in the morning, they, and certain other women with them, came to the tomb bringing the spices which they had prepared. 2 But they found the stone rolled away from the tomb. 3 Then they went in and did not find the body of the Lord Jesus. 4 And it happened, as they were greatly perplexed about this, that behold, two men stood by them in shining garments. 5 Then, as they were afraid and bowed their faces to the earth, they said to them, “Why do you seek the living among the dead? 6 He is not here, but is risen! Remember how He spoke to you when He was still in Galilee, 7 saying, “The Son of Man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men, and be crucified, and the third day rise again.” :8 And they remembered His words. 9 Then they returned from the tomb and told all these things to the eleven and to all the rest. 10 It was Mary Magdalene, Joanna, Mary the mother of James, and the other women with them, who told these things to the apostles. 11 And their words seemed to them like idle tales, and they did not believe them. 12 But Peter arose and ran to the tomb; and stooping down, he saw the linen cloths lying by themselves; and he departed, marveling to himself at what had happened. :13 Now behold, two of them were traveling that same day to a village called Emmaus, which was seven miles from . 14 And they talked together of all these things which had happened. 15 So it was, while they conversed and reasoned, that Jesus Himself drew near and went with them. 16 But their eyes were restrained, so that they did not know Him. :17 And He said to them, “What kind of conversation is this that you have with one another as you walk and are sad?” :18 Then the one whose name was Cleopas answered and said to Him, “Are You the only stranger in Jerusalem, and have You not known the things which happened there in these days?” :19 And He said to them, “What things?” So they said to Him, “The things concerning Jesus of Nazareth, who was a mighty in deed and word before God and all the people, 20 and how the chief priests and our rulers delivered Him to be condemned to death, and crucified Him. 21 But we were hoping that it was He who was going to redeem . Indeed, besides all this, today is the third day since these things happened. 22 Yes, and certain women of our company, who arrived at the tomb early, astonished us. 23 When they did not find His body, they came saying that they had also seen a vision of angels who said He was alive. 24 And certain of those who were with us went to the tomb and found it just as the women had said; but Him they did not see.” :25 Then He said to them, “O foolish ones, and slow of heart to believe in all that the have spoken! 26 Ought not the Christ to have suffered these things and to enter into His glory?” 27 And beginning at Moses and all the Prophets, He expounded to them in all the Scriptures the things concerning Himself. :28 Then they drew near to the village where they were going, and He indicated that He would have gone farther. 29 But they constrained Him, saying, “Abide with us, for it is toward evening, and the day is far spent.” And He went in to stay with them. :30 Now it came to pass, as He sat at the table with them, that He took bread, blessed and broke it, and gave it to them. 31 Then their eyes were opened and they knew Him; and He vanished from their sight. :32 And they said to one another, “Did not our heart burn within us while He talked with us on the road, and while He opened the Scriptures to us?” 33 So they rose up that very hour and returned to Jerusalem, and found the eleven and those who were with them gathered together, 34 saying, “The Lord is risen indeed, and has appeared to Simon (Peter)!” 35 And they spoke about the things that had happened on the road, and how Jesus was known to them in the breaking of bread. :36 Now as they said these things, Jesus Himself stood in the midst of them, and said to them, “Peace to you.” 37 But they were terrified and frightened, and supposed they had seen a spirit. 38 And He said to them, “Why are you troubled? And why do doubts arise in your hearts? 39 Behold My hands and My feet, that it is I Myself. Handle Me and see, for a spirit does not have flesh and bones as you see I have.” :40 When He had said this, He showed them His hands and His feet. 41 But while they still did not believe for joy, and marveled, He said to them, “Have you any food here?” 42 So they gave Him a piece of a broiled fish and some honeycomb. 43 And He took it and ate in their presence. He is Risen! ( He is Risen Indeed )

Nations, like stars, are entitled to eclipse. All is well, provided the light returns and the eclipse does not become endless night. Dawn and resurrection are synonymous. The reappearance of the light is the same as the survival of the soul. -- Victor Hugo

It’s the most controversial topic in all of religion, It’s that age old question - what happens to a human soul after the time of death?

Presumably what happened to Jesus was what happens to all of us when we die. We decompose. Accounts of Jesus's resurrection and ascension are about as well-documented as Jack and the Beanstalk. Richard Dawkins

Outside of the cross of Jesus Christ, there is no hope in this world. That cross and resurrection at the core of the Gospel is the only hope for humanity. Wherever you go, ask God for wisdom on how to get that Gospel in, even in the toughest situations of life. -- Ravi Zacharias

Job 14:14 If a man dies, shall he live again?

Listen now - you’re not gonna like this, but it’s gonna take 5 chapters of suffering that brings Job to the grand answer to his deep question – that suffering that he endured has shaped the power of hope for the human soul....

Job 19:25-27 For I know that my Redeemer lives, And He shall stand at last on the earth; 26 And after my skin is destroyed, this I know, That in my flesh I shall see God, 27 Whom I shall see for myself, And my eyes shall behold, and not another. How my heart yearns within me!

AND SO TODAY, THE MESSGAE OF THE RESURRECTION OF JESUS CHRIST MAKES EVERYTHING IN THE TRUE.

THE MESSGAE OF THE RESURRECTION OF JESUS CHRIST MAKES EVERYTHING IN THE BIBLE TRUE.

LAST WEEKEND THE PALM SUNDAY KING THE FIRST COMING OF JESUS CHRIST TO HIS PEOPLE, HIS NATION AND HIS CITY, HIS OWN.

Proverbs 30:4 Who has ascended into heaven, or descended? Who has gathered the wind in His fists? Who has bound the waters in a garment? Who has established all the ends of the earth? What is His name, and what is His Son’s name, If you know?

and 2,000 years ago this week !!! - that was the name that was on the lips of everyone - - friend and foe alike !!!

Acts 4:10-12 , Philippians 2:10-12 Let it be known to you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom you crucified, whom God raised from the dead, by Him this man stands here before you whole. 11 This is the “stone which was rejected by you builders, which has become the chief cornerstone.’ 12 Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved... given among men by which we must be saved.”” 10 that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth, 11 and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. 2 Therefore, my beloved, as you have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling

Never Again 6.) Never Again will you need to be afraid v.1-5

Never Again 7.) Never Again will you need to doubt v.5b-8

Luke 24:5d-8 They said to them, “Why do you seek the living among the dead? 6 He is not here, but is risen Remember how He spoke to you when He was still in Galilee, 7 saying, “The Son of Man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men, and be crucified, and the third day rise again.” :8 And they remembered His words.

Remembered grk: mimnesko; to call up as from a well. to bring up and into the thoughts. To recall, recollect – to call into remembrance !!!

“Imagine if they would have believed in the Scriptures and Jesus at the same time? They wouldn’t have feared and they wouldn’t have been in doubt”

Romans 15:4 For whatever things were written before were written for our learning, that we through the patience and comfort of the Scriptures might have hope.

Never Again 8.) Never Again will you need to be ashamed v.9-12

9 Then they returned from the tomb and told all these things to the eleven and to all the rest. 10 It was Mary Magdalene, Joanna, Mary the mother of James, and the other women with them, who told these things to the apostles. 11 But their words seemed to them like idle tales, and they did not believe them. 12 But Peter arose and ran to the tomb; and stooping down, he saw the linen cloths lying by themselves; and he departed, marveling to himself at what had happened.

Mark 16:2-8 Very early in the morning, on the first day of the week, they came to the tomb when the sun had risen. 3 And they said among themselves, “Who will roll away the stone from the door of the tomb for us?” 4 But when they looked up, they saw that the stone had been rolled away—for it was very large. 5 And entering the tomb, they saw a young man clothed in a long white robe sitting on the right side; and they were alarmed. :6 But he said to them, “Do not be alarmed. You seek Jesus of Nazareth, who was crucified. He is risen! He is not here. See the place where they laid Him. 7 But go, tell His disciples—and Peter—that Jesus is going before you into Galilee; there you will see Him, as He said to you.” From the Tomb to the Sea of Galilee, that’s 90 miles on foot “ let’s go, go, go, go – YALLA”

Romans 1:16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes, for the Jew first and also for the Greek.

By nature, Truth produces Hope which results in Vitality By nature, Lies produce Hopelessness which results in Depression

I believe that in that moment of revelation, Peter finally saw himself [in] the heart of God, not as an irritant, but as a blessing [to] the heart of God.

Today – the LORD is no longer pointing out our shame or highlighting our blunders.

I confess that I am very selective about what I choose to remember about my past-life without Jesus Christ, BC days!

Psalm 103:12 As far as the east is from the west, So far has He removed our transgressions from us. 13 As a father pities his children, So the LORD pities those who fear Him. 14 For He knows our frame; He remembers that we are dust.

Never Again 9.) Never Again will you need to be alone v.31-32

31 Then their eyes were opened and they knew Him; and He vanished from their sight. :32 And they said to one another, “Did not our heart burn within us while He talked with us on the road, and while He opened the Scriptures to us ?”

What does Isolation. Loneliness, Separation do to a person? It reveals things to you that have been inside waiting to get out.

“It’s so easy to hide from yourself and from others as long as you’re in a crowded room.

But it’s Jesus who meets us in the hours of Isolation. He touches us in our Loneliness and comes to us in the Separation.” Verse 31a Then (then speaks to a moment in time) their eyes (not eyeballs but their understanding) were opened (this speaks to the fact that their ignorance was pushed aside) and they knew (this means that there was an instant connection, a bonding, a link) Him: (personally)

Verse 31b and He vanished from their sight.

Does it ever “feel like” Jesus Christ has vanished from your sight?

Let’s take an eye exam, Let’s test your vision. >>>>>>> Tell me if you can see this; <<<<<<<

Jeremiah 31:3 The LORD has appeared of old to me, saying: “Yes, I have loved you with an everlasting love; therefore with lovingkindness I have drawn you.

Let’s take an eye exam, Let’s test your vision. :18-19a “Come now, and let us reason together,” Says the LORD, “Though your sins are like scarlet, They shall be as white as snow; Though they are red like crimson, They shall be as wool. 19a If you are willing.

Let’s take an eye exam, Let’s test your vision. John 9:1-7 Now as Jesus passed by, He saw a man who was blind from birth. 2 And His disciples asked Him, saying, “Rabbi, who sinned, this man or his parents, that he was born blind?” :3 Jesus answered, “Neither this man nor his parents sinned, but that the works of God should be revealed in him. 4 I must work the works of Him who sent Me while it is day; the night is coming when no one can work. 5 As long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world.” :6 When He had said these things, He spat on the ground and made clay with the saliva; and He anointed the eyes of the blind man with the clay. 7 And He said to him, “Go, wash in the ” (which is translated, Sent). So he went and washed, and came back seeing.

Matthew 28:20c I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Amen.

Never Again 10.) Never Again will you need to fear death v. 33-43

33 So they rose up that very hour and returned to Jerusalem, and found the eleven and those who were with them gathered together, 34 saying, “The Lord is risen indeed, and has appeared to Simon (Peter)!” 35 And they spoke about the things that had happened on the road, and how Jesus was known to them in the breaking of bread.

Hebrews 2:15 nlt Only in this way could He set free all who have lived their lives as slaves to the fear of dying.

Revelation 5:6 And I looked, and behold, in the midst of the throne and of the four living creatures, and in the midst of the elders, stood a Lamb as though it had been slain,

A Dead Lamb Cannot Stand.

Revelation 1:17-18 And when I saw Him, I fell at His feet as dead. But He laid His right hand on me, saying to me, “Do not be afraid; I am the First and the Last. 18 I am He who lives, and was dead, and behold, I am alive forevermore. Amen. And I have the keys of Hades and of Death.

Revelation 2:8b ‘These things says the First and the Last, who was dead, and came to life:

Jesus Took The Fall for Us And now He’s inviting you to take the fall, not with him, but to him 20 inch fall = fall to your knees
