Tuesday, March 30, 2021 Congrats Girls Bowling Team! 2021 Girls Bowling Team is advancing to the State Competition on April 10th in San Antonio!

In individual district play, we had 5 girls placing in the top 11 with Victoria Caughman placing 3rd and Natalie Martin placing 6th!

Congratulations and good luck at STATE! The Alvin High School Marine Corps JROTC drill teams competed in the regional championship drill meet on Saturday, March 27th. The Unarmed Exhibition Platoon lead by Cadet Addington placed 4th and the Armed Exhibition Platoon lead by Cadet Trenton Parker placed 2nd. 52 schools are eligible to compete for this tournament in the region. Congratulations to all of the cadets for putting in the hard work! Thank you seniors for your commitment and dedication and making this year successful!!!

Are you an AVL senior? Would you like to purchase a prom ticket? Read below for the steps on how to purchase your tickets.

● AVL seniors that wish to attend prom may only purchase tickets online. ● You must fill out the "Online Prom Ticket Request Form" ● https://forms.gle/eVNk5RYtfYJugeuM9 ● Once you have filled out the form and your information has been verified, you will receive a link to purchase the tickets. ● Once you have purchased the tickets, you, the AHS AVL Senior, or your parent may pick up the ticket from Mrs.Harris in the front office. ● Ticket pick up times are Monday-Friday 8:00 am-1:00 pm & 2:00 pm -3:00 pm.

Prom Dress Code Gentlemen are to wear a tux coat, tux pants, a dress shirt, tie, or a dress suit (jacket and matching pants) dress shirt and tie. Cowboy hats, top hats, and other formal headwear may be worn. Ladies are to wear a formal dress or suit. Ladies should not wear dresses that are too revealing or too short. No attire is permitted that could be considered any type of costume. Students and their guests will not be allowed entry if they do not meet the dress code. They will be turned away without a refund. A great deal of time and money is invested to make this a special, formal activity with special memories for the students. No one will be allowed to detract from that. If you are bringing a date that is a NON-AHS student, you will need to fill out the Non-AHS student form. You will need to bring and turn in the form, completed at the time of ticket purchase. All dates must be between the ages of 14 and 20 years old.

Please see Ms. Flores if you have any questions about the outfit you are planning to wear. Senior Kid Day Thursday April 1st Seniors may come to school dressed in an outfit like they did on the first day of school.
