1985 – 1990 The Engineering Consulting Office for Utilities: Participated in two major projects concerned with urban design: 1) The design development of the Cornice corridor in the city of Tripoli; 2) The design of a leisure complex in the city of Misurata.

1989 – 1992 The Old City of Tripoli Project: Involved in the development of the master plan for the Old City. Particular focus was given to a sector devoted to traditional craftsmen and artists. Ultimately the project required an historical survey, conservation, rehabilitation and socio-cultural considerations.

1985 – 1987 General Company for Electronics: Represented GCE during the negotiations for the Daewoo headquarters, Libya. Also involved with the GCE exhibition designs.

1989 – 1992 Libyan Institute of Engineers: Involved as a member of the founding committee for the Libyan Institute of Architects. Coordinated the activities of the cultural and scientific divisions.
