Nickname Knights • UCF ranks fifth in scoring defense, limiting opponents to 50.6 points per game. Five Colors Black and Gold of the Knights’ nine opponents have been held below 50 points. COACHING STAFF • The senior guard registered her first 20-point performance as a Knight at LSU. Head Coach Katie Abrahamson-Henderson • She scored UCF’s first eight points against the Tigers and finished the game shooting Alma Mater Iowa, 1990 over 64 percent from the floor. She was perfect from the free throw line in her first Career Record 337-150 (15 years) attempts of the season and hit UCF’s lone three-pointer of the contest. UCF Record 96-42, fifth season • Sanders earned her second AAC Honor Roll spot after registering her first double- Assistant Coach Tahnee Balerio double performance as a Knight with 17 points and 10 rebounds in the win over Houston. Alma Mater Missouri State, 2008 • In her first season with the Black and Gold, Sanders registered just three double-digit Assistant Coach Isoken Uzamere games. The guard has tripled that this season - just nine games in. Alma Mater Hofstra, 2011 • She currently leads the Knights in scoring, averaging 11.6 points per game. Assistant Coach Nykesha Sales • A self-proclaimed lover of defense, Sanders ranks 78th nationally with 2.33 steals per Alma Mater UConn, 1998 game and 123rd with 21 steals on the season. Director of Operations Stephanie Follett • The defensive mindset runs in the family for the Bartow, Fla., native. Her older sister, Director of Prog. Development Ebone Henry Zykira Lewis - who suited up for UCF from 2013-1 - finished her career fourth all-time with Athletic Trainer Tony Munoz 257 steals and third on the single season chart after swiping 101 in 2016-17. The point guard has stepped up to the challenge in 2020-21.
