Kevin Chapman Jonathan Saxty

Kevin Chapman has lived in for most of his life and in Sundon Park for the past 23 years. His children attended all three schools in Sundon Park and still live in Luton. Kevin's commitment is "A DEEP BELIEF THAT LOCAL PEOPLE SHOULD HAVE A SAY IN LOCAL ISSUES AND BE REPRESENTED BY ONE OF THEIR OWN ". For the past 6 years Kevin has built up a well-established driving school in the Sundon Park area having successfully taught many local residents how to drive. Jonathan Saxty Is your local Conservative Party candidate for . I live in Luton, and was educated at Cambridge University and LSE. Having trained as a barrister, today I run my own re- source company with operations on three continents. I am passionate about serving others. This will be my sixth election campaign. Most of us want the same things: a good job, a decent house, safe streets, good schools, police we can trust in, and freedom and opportunity. I am a member of the Conservative Party because I believe in those things. I am standing as your local Conservative candidate because I want to help deliver those things as well. I am a Conservative because I believe in the importance of family, a strong work ethic, and that rights should come with responsibilities. I believe that opportunity should be available for all and that hard work must be rewarded. “We are Conservatives; because we believe that country should come first. We are lucky to live in Britain and we must defend the liberties, freedoms and opportunities that we know makes this country great.”

THE CONSERVATIVES CARE ABOUT YOU AND THE ENVIRONMENT THAT WE LIVE IN. WE INTEND TO MAKE A MORE FRIENDLY PROSPEROUS TOWN WHERE YOU WILL HAVE A SAY IN THE WAY LUTON IS RUN. HELP US ACHIEVE THIS

Sundon Park Library - Kevin believes the now empty building which was the local library should be returned to the community for a local based group to use and remain a public building.

Plans for a supermarket on Sundon Park Road. Kevin asks ” Is this really necessary for the area placing more strain on local road infrastructure and parking issues??” Let me know what YOU think.

I would like to work with the local community on this. Is there a place for another supermarket – or are you more concerned about traffic and road capacity? LABOUR PROMISES

First, Labour’s Deputy Leader said, ‘People on middle incomes should contribute more through taxes’ (Harriet Harman, LBC Radio, 14/07/14). Then, Labour’s Shadow Health Secretary promised to ‘embrace's 15% death tax which would cost the average taxpayer £46.000 (Andy Burnham, The Daily Telegraph, 30/07/14). And now a senior Labour figure is calling for the Party to extend their planned tax on the family home to properties worth £400.00 in the North of —hitting an estimated 210,000 more families Sunday Express, 10/08/14. Labour wants to hit hardworking families like yours with more taxes - help stop them by donating £20 today. Labour’s commitment to tax the family is one of many tax rises they’re planning for after the next election:  A rise in National Insurance, the tax on jobs (Observer, 20/04/14)  Higher fuel duty, because they oppose our fuel duty stabiliser (Labour Press conference Q&A, 11/01/11)  A rise in corporation tax, putting jobs at risk ( Financial Times, 24/09/13)  A graduate tax (Daily Politics, 02.04/14)  A tax on pensions (BBC News, 20 September 2013; HM Treasury, budget 2013) Labour want hardworking taxpayers to foot the bill for their wasteful spending.
