2019 International and 7th National Postgraduate Forum on Grassland Science (First circulation)
In 2007, under the initiative of Academician Nan Zhibiao, the College of Grassland Agricultural Science and technology of Lanzhou University and the Journal of Grassland Science established the National Postgraduate Forum on Grassland Science, as a national academic platform for postgraduate study and communication in grassland science and related disciplines. As of 2019, six sessions of the biannual forum have been held in Lanzhou, Chongqing and Guangzhou. A total of 34 doctoral and 60 master's degrees from 28 institutions of higher learning and scientific research institutions have won awards at the forum, and 148 conference papers have been published in CSCD. A group of outstanding young talents emerged through the forum, is now contributing to the development of the grass industry nationally and globally. Since the establishment of the forum, many academicians from China and overseas have been invited to give keynote speeches to the graduate students at the forum, which has led to significant outcomes in many aspects.
On the occasion of the 110th anniversary of the establishment of Lanzhou University, in order to further implement the national strategies of "Belt and Road" , rural revitalization and ecological civilization construction, the College of Pastoral Agriculture Science and Technology of Lanzhou University, the Centre for Chinese Studies in Ecology of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization University, the State Key Laboratory of Grassland Agro-ecosystems and the Key Laboratory of Grassland and Animal Husbandry Innovation of the Ministry of Agriculture will jointly host the Seventh National Post Graduate forum of Grassland Science and International postgraduate forum of Grassland Science in Lanzhou. The forum is tentatively scheduled for early August 2019 and invites well-known experts and scholars in the field of grassland science and related fields both at home and abroad to give guidance by delivering special invitation reports, and invites postgraduate students in the field of grassland science and related fields to attend exchanges and participate in the selection of outstanding papers. There is also financial aid for international graduate students. The papers accepted by the forum will be published in the Journal of Grassland Science after being reviewed and approved by experts. The forum will recognize 15-20 outstanding graduate papers and provide funding to 10-20 international graduate students, including travel and living expenses. After the forum , an international postgraduate summer camp will be organized to study the grass industry in the Tibetan plateau, Loess plateau 1 / 5 and the arid inland areas of northwest China.
Experts from China and overseas , leaders of industry departments, relevant personnel from enterprises and institutions, and graduate students from universities and research institutes are invited to stay in beautiful Lanzhou for Academic Exchange.

Presentation formats
The participants of the forum can make presentations in three formats : Keynote Address (by invitation only) , Oral Presentation and Poster Presentation. All the presenters need to submit a paper to be published in the forum proceedings. The papers should not exceed 3 pages, The font should be Times New Roman, 12 points and the line spacing in 18 points.The paper should include title, authors their affiliations, abstract, keywords, introduction, materials and methods, results and discussion, and conclusion.
