ACHIEVEMENTS SINCE OCTOBER 2010- NOVEMBER 2012

(I) Academic Activities: 2010-11

The RCA has provided coaching to over100 students for Civil Services and other competitive examinations for the academic session 2010-11 and provided them coaching and guidance in the following areas:

 General Studies

 Optional Papers like History, Public Administration, Geography, Sociology, Political Science, Urdu, Arabic, Persian and Hindi.

 English Language classes and Communication skill.

 Test Series of General Studies, CSAT and English Language.

 Mock Interview for the aspirants of Civil Services Examination under the guidance of Mr. Najeeb Jung, Vice Chancellor, and JMI.  All Mock Tests (P.T) with Civil Services Chronicle twice for the aspirants of Civil Services examination 2011.  The Vice Chancellor Mr. Najeeb Jung addressed and motivated about 100 students of different department to write Civil Services Examination  Mr. Mohammad Tarique, Deputy Director, CC&CP addressed about 100 girl students of Aruna Asaf Ali Hostel and motivated them to write Civil Services Examination  Mr. Najeeb Jung, Vice-Chancellor, JMI, Mr. B.P. Sharma, Joint Secretary, Ministry of Minority Affairs, Mr. Y.C. Halan, Business Adviser, Dulcon, Goenka Group, and Mr. Subhash Jagota, Director, Global Business Solutions addressed about 120 students of JMI to motivate them for IAS and other competitive examinations.  Mr. Mohammad Tarique addressed and motivated the students of Arabic Department and Urdu Department to prepare for Civil Services Examination.

(II) Achievements: 2010-11  Two students of the Centre (Jusuf kabir Ansari and Ashraf Wani) have been selected in Civil Services Examination 2010-11.  Twelve students of the Centre have written Civil Services Mains Examination 2011 after clearing their Preliminary test held in June 2011.  Seven students of the Centre have written Main Examination of UP, Bihar and Kashmir Administrative Service after clearing their prelims examination in 2011.  One student has been selected in Bank PO and two have appeared at the interview in IB examination.  Four students of the Centre have cleared SSC prelims and wrote Main examination in 2011.  Four students of the Centre have cleared PCS(prelims) of Bihar and Jharkhand in 2011  One student (Arif Wadood) has cleared West Bengal Judicial Service (Main) 2011  One student (Nazuddin Khan)of the Centre has been selected in Intelligence Bureau, 2011

III Academic Activities 2011-12

 The Academy advertised for admission in the month of August 2011 to coach the aspirants of Civil Services Examination 2012.  Total no. of application received – 1491  In all, 1115 students appeared at the test from almost every part of the country which includes states like Nagaland, Manipur, Assam, Orissa, Kerala, and Jammu &Kashmir apart from and rest of India.  The Academy admitted 110 students from Minorities, SC, ST and Women categories after an all India level test (objective, subjective and interview) held on September 11(written) October 10 to 14 (Interview), 2011.  The Centre has designed its courses according to UPSC, PCS, SSC and Banking Services pattern.

VI Achievements 2011-12

Total Classes held – 244  English Language classes and Communication skill. Total Classes held – 35

 Test held: (Twice a week from November 2011 till March 2012, on selected and notified topic, prepared by the concerned faculty). Total = 40

(VI) Scholarship Awarded

The Centre awarded freeship to 22 students (20% of admitted students) @ Rs.2000/-per month on the basis of mean-cum-merit as per UGC provision.
