Have you ever thought about writing your memoirs? What prompts an individual to write about a lifetime of experiences? Where do you start? How each writer presents his or her personal story is very individual. It can be serious or fun, and oftentimes it’s both. The SCSH Writer’s Club is a welcoming support network and platform dedicated to helping authors realize their creativity (at times newfound or unexpected, in their opinion). What follows are the personal reasons five of our members have achieved their goals of not only writing their stories but successfully self-publishing them as well. During the time I’ve been with the Writer’s Club, several members have self-published books of fiction, adventure, and stories based on history and famous people. To learn more and meet our SCSH writers, come to an Open House on February 20, 2020, from 10 am – 12 pm in the Santa Rosa Clubhouse.

The Lifestyle Department brought to the residents of Sun City Shadow Hills several new adventures such as: Hot August Night in August (which had over 300 attendees), the first Monster Mash dance, and our Golf Cart Parade, which was a smash hit! There were three new clubs that formed adding to the 65 existing clubs. Our community is growing! Tribute bands are in high demand and Sun City Shadow Hills is fortunate to be working with some of the top entertainment agents in the Coachella Valley. We have an entertainment team of three who have just completed their recommendations for 2020/2021 Concert Schedule.
