What: Second annual celebrity basketball game in support of MusiCounts, Canada‟s national music education charity associated with CARAS. Twenty players on two teams, including current athletes from this year‟s University of Ottawa men‟s and women‟s varsity teams, will compete for the JUNO Hoops plaque, now called the Dr. James Naismith Foundation Trophy, with MVP awards supplied by the same organization. A special youth game is also part of this year‟s event, with two teams from the Gloucester Cumberland Basketball Association, the largest basketball club in Ottawa, taking part. And for the first time, we are excited to announce the first JUNO Hoops Slam Dunk contest, which will take place at halftime of the celebrity game.
