TRANSFER POLICY FOR THE SHOW: The Club will permit a transfer to the next level class in accordance with AKC regulaons. Room Rate $135.00 + tax for single‐quadruple occupancy. Guestroom types (king, doubles, etc.) will be reserved on a first‐come, first‐served basis. These rooms at our rate are available three days before and three days aer our specialty. The deadline for our reservaon room block is July 2, 2019. There is a $35 per stay, non‐refundable pet fee. Four dog maximum per room.

The Hotel offers two complimentary Breakfast Coupons per room, per night.

Holiday Inn Pet Policy

• The hotel will charge a one me, non‐refundable pet fee of $35.00 per room with pets, per stay. Addionally, if there are damages to the room or hotel, charges will be assessed and billed to individual guest • The hotel will designate an area outside the Conference Center kitchen for dog washing sta‐ ons. • The hotel offers complimentary Portland Internaonal Airport shule service. The shule runs on demand. Each guest is limited to 2 crates per person and carries a maximum of 4 full size crates at one me. Sign up is on a first come first serve basis. Shule reservaons are suggested and may be made directly with the hotel. • are prohibited in the restaurant, lounge, on 6th 7th & 8th floor, banquet rooms, where food is, or will be served. With the excepon of grooming and show areas • Maximum of (4) dogs are allowed in each guest room. Any addional dogs in each guestroom must be pre‐approved by the hotel. All dogs must have their own crate, with plasc under it. Guest rooms must be available for daily house cleaning and inspecon by Hotel staff. • Under no circumstances will dog washing be permied in hotel guest rooms. The hotel staff will report an infracon of this rule immediately to hotel management. • Owners/Exhibitors must clean up aer their dogs inside and outside the hotel.

Hotel Parking Hotel Parking is FREE for all match, obedience and show aendees both Thursday and Friday. However, you must take a cket at the entry gate into the parking area. You will be able to validate your cket either inside the Conference Center or at the front desk. Hotel guests will be able to leave the parking lot using their room keys.

Driving Directions From I‐205 northbound or southbound direcon, take Exit 23B, take ramp right and follow signs for US‐30 BY‐PASS West. Keep straight onto US‐30 bypass/NE Killingsworth St. Bear right onto Columbia Parkway. Turn right at the light to enter hotel property.

RV Parking is available for up to 10 vehicles at a rate of $25 a night. There is no power, water, or sepc available. Please contact Kathleen Kane at [email protected] for more infor‐ maon.

Grooming

The Conference Center will have lots of room in the grooming area. Power is available with your extension cords. The club will provide two outdoor bathing staons nearby. A Donaon to defer the cost of room set up/take down is appreciated! Please see the RSVP page. Grooming set up can begin aer 1pm on Thursday.

Lunch

Pre‐ordered Box Lunches will be available near ringside and will include a choice of a Thai Chicken Salad, Roast Turkey & Provolone cheese, leuce, tomato, served on Ciabaa, Roast Beef and Cheddar Cheese, leuce, tomato served on focaccia bread. Soda or Water, Chips and a cookie are included. Price is $22. Please see RSVP page. There will be an opportunity to order a limited number on the morning of the show.

Banquet

Join us for a celebrity red carpet event for our Specialty banquet Friday evening featuring our legendary Silent Aucon and Raffle drawing. The banquet will start with a no‐host bar at 6pm and dinner will be served at 7pm. Hollywood fashion is encouraged!

The hotel will feature two choices: Pan Seared Pork Chop with caramel gastrique 10 oz Flat Iron Steak with herb demi‐glace Served with chef’s choice accompaniments: Arugula and frisee, shaved red beets, crumbled feta, candied walnuts, raspberry vinaigree and dessert.

Classifications The following regular classes will be provided for both dogs and bitches

Puppy, 6 months & under 9 months Bred‐by‐Exhibitor Puppy, 9 months & under 12 months American Bred 12 months and under 18 months Open WINNERS Best of Breed Compeon Non-Regular Classes Involving Single Dog Entries The following classes will be provided for both dogs and bitches Veterans Class: 7 years of age and older. Only a First Place winner will be selected. All other exhibitors will receive a parcipaon rosee

*Chapter 11, Secon 8 “Rules Applying To Dog Shows” provide that a neutered male or a spayed bitch may be entered as a veteran. Winners of the above classes are eligible to compete in the Best of Breed compeon.

Awards of Merit At the conclusion of the Best of Breed Judging, the judge may, at their discreon, award up to Three (3) of the specials entry. The Judge is not obligated to award any Awards of Merit, if she feels there are not any dogs or bitches in compeon worthy of this award. All dogs compeng in the Best of Breed compeon are eligible for this award, with the excepon of the Best of Breed. Best Puppy Any entry in the puppy classes that is awarded Best of Breed or Best of Winners would automa‐ cally be Best Puppy. Only dogs not defeated in a puppy class are eligible for Best Puppy compe‐ on. Best Bred by Exhibitor Any entry in the Bred by Exhibitor classes that is awarded Best of Breed or Best of Winners would automacally be Best Bred by Exhibitor . Qualifying Score Required For All Obedience & Rally Prizes. “Dog” means either sex. A Dark Green Qualifying Score Rosette will be awarded to each dog earning a qualifying score in each Regular & Optional Titling Class. Obedience & Rally entries in classes with jumps MUST INCLUDE DOG’S JUMP HEIGHT. Classes with jumps will be judged in ascending height order beginning at 4” for each trial. REFUNDS: Bitches in Season: Refund of entry will be made for Bitches entered in Obedience and Rally Classes who come in season aer entries close. July 19, 2019 9 General Show Information

THE COLUMBIA RIVER PEMBROKE WELSH CORGI CLUB reserve the right to substute a prize of equal or greater value.

ALL TROPHIES must be claimed the day of the show. None will be mailed or otherwise distributed.

CLASS CASH PRIZES will be paid in the ring to the person showing the dog. Claims for prize money must be made in the ring before the judging is over and the Superintendent’s Office advised at once. The superintendent and the Clubs disclaim any liability for cash prizes aer the judging of the class is over.

ALL DOGS must be held on leash or confined to their crates except when being judged or when in the exercising pen.

THERE SHALL BE NO drilling nor intensive or correcve training of dogs on the show grounds or premises.

NO FLEXI LEADS, No Hal‐type collars, or pinch collars on the show grounds.

NO PRACTICING IN RINGS. DOGS ALLOWED in rings during judging only.

DOGS MUST BE READY FOR JUDGING. The Clubs and the Event Secretary will not be responsible and are not obligated to furnish any service for nofying exhibitors or their agents of breed or class judging. Judges will not wait for any dog holding up a class. Owners or agents alone are responsible for the presence of their dogs in the judging ring.

DOGS NEED TO BE AT THE SHOW only at scheduled me of judging and may leave immediately thereaer, unless required for further judging.

EXHIBITORS ARE RESPONSIBLE for maintaining clean condions in and around their crates/set‐up.

AKC RULES STATE THAT ONLY DOGS THAT ARE ELIGIBLE to be shown under the American Kennel Club Rules shall be allowed within the show precincts.

EXHIBITORS SHOULD FOLLOW THEIR VETERINARIAN’S RECOMMENDATION to assure their dogs are free of internal and external parasites, any communicable diseases, and have appropriate vac‐ cinaons.

THE COLUMBIA RIVER PEMBROKE WELSH CORGI CLUB and the Superintendent/Event Secretary are not responsible for the acons or products of the commercial vendors at these events.

THE WELFARE OF AN EXHIBITOR'S CHILD is assumed to be the responsibility of the exhibitor. It is disnctly understood that exhibitors will exercise control and restraint over their children on the days of the shows. The exhibitor is also responsible for any damage done by the exhibitor’s child.

ALL REGULATIONS GOVERNING THE USE OF THE EVENT FACILITY and all regulaons and decisions of the Event Commiees will be strictly enforced, including any not recorded in this Premium List.

ALL PERSONS ATTENDING THIS EVENT hereby waive any claim for damages against the Clubs, their members or agents, in the event a motor vehicle must be entered to rescue a dog from over‐ heang or suffocaon due to improper venlaon.

All rights to televise, videotape, adverse, photograph, promote or otherwise exploit this event are vested in the Club, or in persons to whom assignments of such rights have been made in wring by the Club. All persons and animals on the Show grounds at any me while the Show is in progress, do by aending this show or parcipang therein, grant to the Club the right to photograph, televise, videotape, audio tape or otherwise use their likeness and voice in any manner without further release or consent. THE COLUMBIA RIVER PEMBROKE WELSH CORGI CLUB and the Event Secretary, their agents, employees, etc., will use due care and diligence for the welfare of dogs, exhibitors, handlers and spectators, but will assume no responsibility for any personal injury or death to any person, or the, damage or loss of personal property, nor injury or death of any animal either at or on the show grounds and further assumes no responsibility for injury to children at these events. CANADIAN EXHIBITORS MUST SUBMIT ENTRIES WITH CHECKS DRAWN ON U.S. ACCOUNTS OR WITH INTER‐ NATIONAL MONEY ORDERS IN U.S. FUNDS.

A Recording Fee of 50 cents for each dog and an AKC Event Service Fee of $3.00 will be required for each recordable single entry class at any Licensed or Member Club Show or Obedience Trial. (American Kennel Club Rule, Chapter 11, Section 2). A $3.50 AKC Recording Fee will be required for the first entry in Rally and $3.00 for each additional entry in Rally. (American Kennel Club Rally Regulation, Chapter 1, Section 5). A $2.00 Event Service Fee will be required for each entry in 4‐6 Month Beginner Puppy. These Fees are paid to the American Kennel Club.

RETURNED CHECKS / INVALID CREDIT CARDS do not constitute a valid entry. The Superintendent will add a collection fee of $25 to the amount of each returned check and credit card. Subsequent returned checks and credit card from the same exhibitors may result in their being put on a cash‐only basis. Entry Fee will not be refunded in the event that a dog is absent, disqualified, excused by Veterinarian or judge, or barred from competition by action of the Show Committee.

No entry fees will be refunded if the Show cannot open or be completed by reason of riots, civil disturb‐ ances, fire, extreme and or dangerous weather conditions, an Act of God, public emergency, act of public enemy, strikes or any other cause beyond the control of the Club or the Superintendent.

No Refund for Duplicate Entries. Every effort to find all duplicate entries will be made; however, if entry has been processed, no refund will be made.

Refunds made for cancellation of entries before the closing date will be subject to a $3.00 administrative/ processing fee per entry.

No Entry shall be made and no entry shall be accepted which specifies any conditions as to its acceptance. Changes, additions or corrections to entry forms must be received in writing prior to close of entries. Those received by telephone are not acceptable.

Dogs need be present only for scheduled judging and will be released if not needed for further judging. Dogs must be ready for judging. Neither the club nor the Superintendent will be responsible or obligated to furnish any service for notifying exhibitors or their agents of Breed or Class judging. Judges need not wait for any dog holding up the class. Owners or agents alone are responsible for the presence of their dogs in the judging rings.

Exhibitors should follow their veterinarian’s recommendation to assure their dogs are free of internal and external parasites, any communicable diseases and have appropriate vaccinations.

The show giving club, the Superintendent, their agents, employees, etc., assume no responsibility for any loss, damage, or injury sustained by exhibitors or handlers to any of their dogs or property, and further assume no responsibility for injury to children. In consideration of the acceptance of this entry and of the holding of this event and of the opportunity to have the dog judged and to win prizes, ribbons, or trophies, I (we) agree to hold the AKC, the event-giving club, their members, directors, governors, officers, agents, superintendents or event secretary and the owner and/or lessor of the premises and any provider of services that are necessary to hold this event and any employees or volunteers of the aforementioned parties, and any AKC approved judge, judging at this event, harmless from any claim for loss or injury which may be alleged to have been caused directly or indirectly to any person or thing by the act of this dog while in or about the event premises or grounds or near any entrance thereto, and I (we) personally assume all responsibility and liability for any such claim; and I (we) further agree to hold the aforementioned parties harmless from any claim for loss, injury or damage to this dog. The showing of unconfirmed Champions in Best of Breed compeon is limited to a period of 90 days from the date of the show where the dog completed the requirements for a championship. 3. If the event class in which you are entering your dog is divided, then, in addion to designang the class, specify the parcular division of the class in which you are entering your dog, i.e, age division, color division, weight division. 4. A dog must be entered in the name of the person who actually owned it at the me entries for an event closed.
