Sinds 1952 is Stichting Natuurpark De Efteling (vrijwel) attractieparken. Het bezoekersaantal van de andere vier parken voortdurend gegroeid en inmiddels telt het park circa 5,2 miljoen tezamen (Attractiepark Slagharen, Walibi Holland, Attractiepark Duinrell bezoeken per jaar (2017). Dit succes is in onze ogen mede te verklaren en Toverland) bleef vrijwel stabiel.
