HAPPY HEARTS SENIOR DRIVE-THRU Saturday, February 13, 2021 | 10:00 am - 12:00 pm | Jim Ward Community Center, 301 NW 46th Ave. Celebrate love safely at our Happy Hearts Senior Drive-Thru for seniors ages 55+. YOGA IN THE PARK Every Saturday | 9:30 am - 10:30 am | Various Locations Get your weekend stretch in with Yoga in the Park! Now happening every Saturday! Yoga in the Park will last through the end of May 2021. The schedule goes as follows: 1st & 2nd Saturday - Liberty Park 3rd Saturday - Volunteer Park 4th Saturday - Jim Ward 5th Saturday - Liberty Tree Park (Jan & May '21) Pre-registration is required to attend. Maximum of 30 participants. Registration opens the Monday of each week starting at 9:00 AM and closes Thursday at 5:00 PM. No multiple day registration is allowed. Participants will be notified with registration confirmation. Face masks are required prior and immediately after each session. Plantation Historical Museum

GENERAL INFORMATION: The Plantation Historical Museum is a free, non-profit establishment that focuses on preserving and presenting Planta- tion’s history with the support of the City of Plantation. Special memorabilia are on permanent display from various city de- partments, especially the Plantation Fire Department, including the City’s first fire truck. Tequesta artifacts and Seminole Native American chickee hut and dugout canoe are also on permanent display. An Everglades Diorama features artisan- made animals, birds and reptiles with accompanying nature sounds. The Plantation Historical Society supports the Museum with annual fundraisers and operates the Gift Shop. The Butterfly Garden is maintained by members of the Society. Every year the Museum builds and displays a new exhibit to join the permanent City and Native American exhibits. Tours are con- ducted on Tuesdays and Thursdays by appointment.

The Plantation Athletic League, P.A.L. is a volunteer organization that coordinates Plantation Youth Athletic Leagues. Registration is available online or at the Central Park Multi-Purpose building, 9151 N.W. 2nd Street. First time registrants will not be able to register online; please come in person to be entered into our system. All registrants must provide 2 proofs of residency (i.e. current driver’s license AND utility bill). First time registrants must also bring a copy of the child’s birth certificate. Pickleball Ages 16 & up Pickleball is a racquet sport that combines elements of badminton, tennis and table tennis played on a badminton-sized court with spe- cial pickleball paddles. The lower net and ball allow the game to be accessi- ble to people of all abilities, while still allowing more competitive players to be challenged.
