TNT AND THE ROLLING STONES ‘DRIVE TOO FAST’ INTO THEATRES

TNT to roll out exclusive NASCAR ad featuring unreleased Rolling Stones single in movie theatres nationwide through National CineMedia

Turner Network Television (TNT) announced today an epic partnership - marrying the network with the rock-n-roll royalty of the Rolling Stones and the sport of NASCAR - on the silver screen. This September, TNT will debut an exclusive NASCAR promotional video featuring the yet-to-be-released Rolling Stones single, “Driving Too Fast,” in movie theatres throughout the country. The video, which will allow fans to experience the band’s new tune days before the official release of their highly-anticipated new album, A Bigger Bang, places TNT among the ranks as one of few to land such a unique partnership with the world-renowned rock band.

“Mixing together the undeniably energizing music of the Rolling Stones with the excitement of NASCAR was an easy one,” said Jeff Gregor, senior vice president of sports marketing and programming for TNT and TBS. “The song was a perfect fit and we’re honored to bring together two powerhouses from the world of music and sports.”

The up-tempo ad mixes the fast cars, invigorated crowds and charismatic drivers of NASCAR racing with the adrenaline pumping rock-n-roll tunes of the Rolling Stones to fire up fans to watch the pivotal NASCAR NEXTEL Cup Series races on TNT. NASCAR drivers Tony Stewart, Dale Earnhardt, Jr., Jimmie Johnson, Jeff Gordon, Elliot Sadler and Kurt Busch each make an appearance in the video sharing their thoughts on the intensity of the Race to the Chase for the NEXTEL Cup with Sadler concluding, “TNT hits it right on the head, what it’s all about is drama.”

The 2 minute 20 second video will run September 2 - 29 on more than 5,800 movie screens nationwide during National CineMedia’s digitally delivered pre-show, exclusively in Regal, United Artists, Edwards and Georgia Theatre Company movie theatres. TNT will use the closing slate of the spot to rotate tune-in information for the three remaining NASCAR NEXTEL Cup races on TNT, which include the Chevy Rock & Roll 400 (Sept. 10), the Sylvania 300 (Sept. 18) and the MBNA NASCAR RacePoints 400 (Sept. 25).
