VINČA a village near BELGRADE NEOLITH – GOLDEN AREA OF HUMAN HISTORY- 1.000 YEARS WITHOUT WARS

Vinča presents a worldwide term used to denote the zenith of the European Neolithic. The site of Vinča gave the name to one of the most recognizable prehistoric cultures in world archaeology. Amazing artefacts from Vinča itself and other respective sites in this part of Europe have amazingly changed our outlook over humans in the prehistory. Remains of destroyed successive settlements and houses tell the story about them as the urban people with an extremely high culture of habitation, since many objects discovered at the Vinča culture sites could keep outstanding places in an imaginary museum of the world art. The common market does not present only the idea of contemporary Europeans, but also an authentic prerequisite of our Neolithic ancestors. Being on the cross-road of strategic pathways, Vinča becomes the largest market of that moment’s Europe, not only for an extreme value of its own products, but as well for rare raw materials or items brought from Transilvania, the Upper Tisza river, the Lower Danube, and even from Aegean and Adriatic coast. With the invention of the copper ore processing technology, the Vinča people becomes pioneers of the earliest metallurgy in Europe. Through the discovery of the great mistery of the substance transformation, those very first miners have made the foundations of all future European civilizations. During that miraculous Neolithic time, being remembered by the longest lasting peace, the first urban Europeans have used to celebrate the GREAT MOTHER, not as a symbol of domination, but as the symbol of fertility, procreation, and life. They did not have the cult of hunter nor the cult of warrior, thus not celebrating death but celebrating life, and practically all they have done used to be in the glory of LIFE. Knowledge, creativity, enterprise, and primarily tolerance to others were all the main values, and the Europeans of those days have gained practically all those merits fostered in the scope of modern civilization. Neolithic Vinča world, as the headmost civilization of the time, altogether with its contemporaries, once established the basic European values, so being the architects of the integrative European idea.
