The band is gearing up for a Summer tour that will be hitting Their third album, “Heartbreak Station”, was released in select cities across America. The band will be tearing 1990 followed by “Still Climbing” in 1994. The later two through a set spanning all four of their studio albums albums featured songs more influenced by Keifer’s love including their biggest hits. of the blues Cinderella was formed in Philadelphia in 1982 by singer- CINDERELLA has sold over 18 million albums to date songwriter/guitarist/keyboardist Tom Keifer and bassist worldwide. Eric Brittingham. Cinderella got their big break when Jon Bon Jovi saw them perform at the Empire Rock Club in Philadelphia and recommended that his A&R rep see them as well. In 1985, with a recording contract with Mercury/Polygram Records, the band entered the studio with legendary producer Andy Johns (Led Zeppelin) to record their debut album “Night Songs”. “Night Songs” was released in June 1986 and eventually achieved triple platinum status, selling 50,000 copies per week at one point. Cinderella's second album “Long Cold Winter” was released in 1988. A 254-show tour to support it lasted over 14 months and included dates on the “Moscow Music Peace Festival” alongside other metal acts, such as Ozzy Osbourne, Scorpions, Motley Crue, Bon Jovi, and Skid Row. Brown, Advisor Between 1984 and 1991, heavy metal became one of the most publicly popular and commercially successful rock music subgenres. The focus of this dissertation is to explore the following research questions: How did the subculture of heavy metal music between 1984 and 1991 evolve and what meanings can be derived from this ongoing process? How did the contextual circumstances surrounding heavy metal music during this period impact the performative choices exhibited by artists, and from a position of retrospection, what lasting significance does this particular era of heavy metal merit today? A textual analysis of metal- related materials fostered the development of themes relating to the selective choices made and performances enacted by metal artists. These themes were then considered in terms of gender, sexuality, race, and age constructions as well as the ongoing negotiations of the metal artist within multiple performative realms. Occurring at the juncture of art and commerce, heavy metal music is a purposeful construction. Metal musicians made performative choices for serving particular aims, be it fame, wealth, or art. These same individuals worked within a greater system of influence. Metal bands were the contracted employees of record labels whose own corporate aims needed to be recognized.

Pressmeddelande Världsartisten John Corabi kommer till Örebro Den forna Mötley Crue sångaren John Corabi ger en akustisk spelning på Clarion Hotel i november. På sin Europaturné läggs nu kanske John Corabis enda Sverigebesök i Örebro. Med andra ord ett unikt tillfälle för Sveriges rock och hårdrock publik att se och uppleva John Corabi live och unplugged. John Corabi slog igenom med bandet The Scream, men hans största genombrott blev som sångare i Mötley Crue, mitten av 90- talet. Han var med och släppte det självbetitlade albumet Mötley Crue med bl.a. sånger som ”Holigan´s Holiday”, Misunderstood”, ”Smoke The Sky” och ”Power to The Music” Han bildade också bandet Union tillsammans med den förre gitarristen i Kiss, Bruce Kulick. Discovered by Jon Bon Jovi in 1985, Cinderella went on to release four albums between 1986 and 1994, three of which went platinum, before breaking up in 1995 after Keifer suffered a voice injury. Keifer spent the ensuing years undergoing numerous operations to remove the nodules and fix the paralysis of the left chord. The band reunited in 1997 and toured fairly regularly into the 21st century. Keifer released his well-received solo debut, The Way Life Goes, in 2013 which debuted at #78 on Billboard charts. Cinderella emerged in the mid-1980s with a series of multi-platinum albums and hit singles whose music videos received heavy MTV rotation. Cinderella had a heavy metal sound initially before shifting to a more hard rock/ blues rock sound.
