Well-Child Visit Schedule UW Health recommends the following schedule for well-child health supervision visits that includes a physical exam as well as a developmental, behavioral, and learning assessment. Planning Ahead Once you have an appointment scheduled for your child, your health care team will check to see if your child/teen is due for any immunizations, tests or exams. Preventive care and screening tests help find health concerns early before they become a major problem. If your child is due for an immunization or test, the care team may notify you with a MyChart message, letter or phone call.

Hospital Care If your child/teen requires hospitalization, you may choose any of the Madison covered by your health plan or insurance. UW Health pediatricians refer patients for care to American Family Children’s Hospital (AFCH) which is part of UW Health.
