Let us start by saying that it is truly an honor to have this year’s COCA Central Region Conference right here in Barrie. Shortly after arrival at COCA National this year in Montreal we soon discovered that Georgian College was rumored to be hosting this fall. Although this was news to us, we jumped on the op- portunity, excited but somewhat naïve to what we were about to get ourselves into. So, what happens when you put together two workaholics; a long time COCA veteran and a complete COCA newbie? You’re about to find out. As your co-hosts, we couldn’t be more proud to deliver this conference and show off our newly renovated on campus bar as well as the college’s conference centre. If this is your first COCA, we hope to set the standard and your expectations high. If you are a returning delegate, we hope to meet the level of excellence you have come to expect from these conferences. To all delegates--we hope that you will leave here with the experience of a lifetime. Please make the most of your time here---ask questions at your educational sessions, check out all of the artists that showcase this weekend, and most importantly learn from your fellow delegates, associates, and friends. We hope you enjoy the peaceful sur- roundings of the Kempenfelt Conference Centre and we think that it will add to the networking opportunities. Thank you so much to everyone who has assisted us in the planning stages of the conference, volunteered their time, or helped us in anyway. Please join us in thanking those associates who contributed to the conference through the biz hall, showcasing, or sponsoring. There are a lot of people who helped make this conference a possibility and we couldn’t have done it without you! Finally, thank you for coming this weekend and support- ing such an incredible organization!
