**Please note - After long discussions, dragging feet and empty promises between Industry leaders, Defra and the Food Standards Agency.... Defra have decided to make a U-turn on their decision made at the end of 2018 about ageing prime sheep by date, not dentition. The Livestock Auctioneers Association who were a key driver behind the proposed changes, were told by George Eustice, Lord Gardiner and Christine Middlemiss (Chief Veterinary Officer) that a change in the rules at this time (as we prepare to leave the EU) would “muddy the waters” and could impact on the UK’s future access to the EU market. This means WE WILL CONTINUE TO MOUTH SHEEP and sell those cutting mature teeth separately** 421 PRIME HOGGS & 41 MATURE SHEEP
