SK1 Anthony Hoover was honored for being named Maritime Force Protection Unit Bangor Sailor of the Quarter, October – December 2008. SK1 Hoover and his wife Cheryl have been married 5 years and have a 5-month old daughter, Catelynne. The day cruise on the carrier Abraham Lincoln CVN 72 was interesting, fun and informative. The flight operations were a big hit. The Prowlers were impressive, noisy and entertaining. Most of our members traveled to Everett the day before, staying at the Quality Inn, grabbing a quick bite to eat at the Irish Pub, then touring the frigate, Ingraham, to arise early the next morning to board the Abraham for a seven hour cruise.
