Suspension of academic activities of the International Hellenic University
We would like to inform you that following ministerial decision (GG 783/10-3-2020), as regards closure of all schools and universities for the period 11.3.2020 to 24.3.2020 the International Hellenic University temporarily suspends, for the above mentioned period, the following: a) all in person educational activities (classes), b) operation of libraries, labs, reading room and sports facilities, c) ceremonies, conferences, seminars, excursions and all events in the University campuses, d) travel of members of the IHU academic community to high-risk countries.
It should be noted that the Governing Board of the IHU takes all necessary measures to continue classes through distance learning.
The programmes already offered exclusively via distance learning and the administrative services will continue to operate smoothly.
The operation of the following will also continue as usual:
- all research activities, - the Special Account of Research Funds and - student halls for the accommodation of students.
Packaged food will be provided to students from specific locations on the IHU premises in Sindos, Thessaloniki, Kavala, Serres, Drama, Katerini, Kilkis and Didimoticho. A more detailed announcement will follow.
The Governing Board of the IHU further advices:
α) Course Offices and Departmental Secretariats to deal with student issues by telephone or email,
β) all members of the university community to adhere with the preventive and sanitary measures in accordance with the guidelines of the National Public Health Organisation.
