This is an additional facility and the Advocates/litigants, may file CD/DVD instead of depositing scanning fee, if they so desire. The Practice Directions in this regard are given below. In addition, the facility of e-filing of Tax and Company Matters has also been provided at the said counter in addition to the existing facility in Chamber No.4 on the ground floor of Lawyers Chamber Block-I. Additional facility for the Advocates/litigants on the Original Side 1. Having considered the concerns expressed by the Advocates regarding filing of soft copies of the matters on the Original Side in CD/DVD, it has been decided that with effect from 14.7.2014 a further option will be given to the Advocates/litigants to deposit a scanning fee @ .0.50 per page with the Scanning Agency at the Counter and attach a receipt of such payment along with the paperbook filed in hard copy. The minimum scanning fee will be . 5/-. The aggregate scanning charges will be rounded off to the nearest multiple of . 5/-. 2. Once the matter is cleared after scrutiny it will be sent to the Scanning Agency by the Registry. 3. The Scanning Agency will scan the papers, prepare portfolio and endorse the first and last page of the filed paperbook with the stamp ‘SCANNED’. 4. The scanned copy will be transferred and stored on the server of the Court in a secured manner. The hard copy of the paperbook will thereafter be sent to the Listing Branch for further processing. 5. In case, where the paperbook had been returned to Advocate/litigant with some objections and the Advocate/litigant had added some more papers in the paperbook while removing the objections or otherwise, at the time of re- filing of paperbook, the Advocate/litigant will have to pay the difference of the scanning fee to the Scanning Agency at the Counter and attach the copy thereof at the time of re-filing. H. S. Chauhan pleasure on the launch of Volume 1 of 'Apex', the IMF Newsletter. Vice Presidents Over the years, the Indian Mountaineer has played an important role in Col. S. C. Sharma recording reports of key climbs in the Indian Himalaya. The expectation Wg. Cdr. Amit Chowdhury is that the IMF Newsletter will support this effort by conveying recent developments and news of interest to the adventure community. Apart Honorary Secretary from recent expedition and trek reports, ‘Apex’ will carry news from Wg. Cdr. S. K. Kutty the IMF, general news of interest to the adventure community, a section on future climbing focused on a particular area and information Honorary Treasurer on recent book releases. The ongoing focus of the Newsletter will be L. K. Malhotra the Indian Himalaya. Officer on Special Duty The key role of the Indian Mountaineering Foundation continues to be D. S. Gulia to encourage mountaineering expeditions, exploration, allied adventure activities and sport climbing in the Indian Himalaya. At the IMF we feel Governing Council Members that the Newsletter will support this objective, as it will reach a S. P. Chamoli larger audience of adventure enthusiasts in India as well as around the Maj. K. S. Dhami world who can now be connected with the IMF.
