Everyone knows that when you have scissors around you want to protect them. You hide them or lock them up so no one tries to paper or other things with them. Because it will dull the blade. I know through the years I have tied mine to my machines or cutting tables just to keep them from walking off.

Ways to Sharpen Scissors DIY

Use fine sandpaper to sharpen your scissors. Cutting through the sandpaper with long strokes. Wipe with a damp cloth afterwards.

Cut long runs of aluminum foil making long ribbons. You can even fold the foil and cut through it for more sharpness. Wipe with a damp cloth afterwards.
