DIVISION I 87 Tennis DIVISION I 2002 Championships Edited by Keri A. Potts. Highlights Cinderella Story: Southern California had a magical ride, downing a higher-seeded opponent in every round including the championship. In that round, defending champion Georgia fell, 4-1. In the individual championships, Matias Boeker retained his singles title with a 7-5, 6-0 defeat of Kentucky’s Jesse Witten. The duo of Andrew Colombo and Mark Kovacs of Auburn defeated Stanford’s Scott Lipsky and David Martin 6-2, 3-6, 6-2 for the doubles crown. The title is Auburn’s first in NCAA men’s tennis.
