Youth Program: Coincidence or ‘G-d Incidents’? – This week, at our upgraded Shabbat Morning Youth programming, we’ll be zooming in on our heroic forefather, Avraham Avinu in order to learn many valuable lessons from his life and times. At age 75, G-d commanded him to leave his birthplace with his household immediately. No destination was told, yet Avraham trusted that, in the end, Hashem would guide him appropriately. Traveling back then was not easy, especially at his advanced age; yet, he never hesitated and joyfully followed G-d’s instructions. As G-d later challenged Avraham with one life test after another (ten tests in all!), he never faltered or lost faith. Our sages teach that Avraham’s mighty trust and powerful faith in G-d was transmitted into the “spiritual genetics” of every member of Am Yisrael. So, we all have the ability to get in-tune with the Divine Design that orchestrates everything in our lives. From the missed school bus, to an accidental slip, trip and fall, Hashem always has a plan for us. Even though we may not always know what it is, we must trust in Hashem, and believe that everything that happens is for the very best. Through a selected variety of stories, fun activities and games, the children will learn how this attitude can enable them to live happier lives, confident that G-d is watching over them. We wish everyone a wonderful Shabbat! Last week's Diamond Davener was Shua Rotman. Mazal Tov! I’m Cuckoo About the Cocoa Club! – We're launching a fantastic new Pre-Teen Girls Shabbat Morning Program. All girls ages 12 to 14 are invited to join together with their friends each week on Shabbat for delicious hot cocoa and refreshments, followed by an interactive class and discussion on Torah ideas and Jewish thinking. This refreshing, chocolaty get-together will run 10:30 am to 12:30 pm. We hope to see you and your friends there!

The Acrostic, Reloaded – Rabbi Kaplan's Redemption Songs Series is about to uncover a mysterious secret ten point poetic acrostic that is the remarkable coding system crafted for the most extraordinary chapter in the Book of Tehillim. On Monday, October 26, he’ll reveal an astonishing analytical overview of the 176 verses contained in Psalm 119 that contains 8 verses for every one of the 22 letters in the Hebrew alphabet. Using an enigmatic alphabetical acrostic, King David sets out to chart the progressive stages of building moral character and attaining spiritual perfection. Learn how obstacles and dangers are meant to be confronted and used to inspire greater personal growth, and how faith is the linchpin in following the guiding light of Hashem’s Torah. The song-filled poetry comprising this Psalm resonates with eternal meaning and illumination. Find out how these verses can be used to achieve personal growth and development by discovering the secret structure that holds it all together!

Tuesday Torah: E.T. Schleps Home – For some inspiring, fascinating, and truly “out of this world” Torah insights, Rabbi Kaplan’s re-launched Parsha Curiosities Class is right for you! Find out the circumstances of their arrival, their interactions with humans, and what this means for us today. If you missed last week’s shocking exposé about the Jewish Queen of Egypt that was filled with curiously amazing yet true gems in the parsha of Lech Lecha, you can now watch it online. Hoping to see you at 8 pm on Tuesday, October 27 for yet another exhilarating intergalactic Torah learning experience!

Your Thursday Talmud Minded Workout – The next edition of our worldwide webcast Thursday Evening Talmud Class begins as usual at 8:30 pm. This week, we’ll be turning the page.
