Gateway To The Santa Monica Mountains Amgen Tour of Final Stage Ends in ConejoValley: Mark Your Calendars for May 18 As it did in 2010, the Amgen Tour of California, an exciting eight-day cycling event that starts in and finishes in will stage its final day in the Conejo Valley region. Known as the “greatest professional cycling event in North America,” the Amgen Tour of California is a professional cycling race similar to the . The final stage of the race will go through the cities of Agoura Hills, Westlake Village and finish in Thousand Oaks on Sunday, May 18th. The event promises to be a spectacular sporting event as well as an economic and cultural boost for our region. This fan friendly course will give residents an opportunity to see the action up to four times. The finish line and a Lifestyle Festival will be located on Village Glen Road, near the Hyatt Westlake. The best way to enjoy the healthy lifestyle event is to leave the car behind and bike, walk, or shuttle to the festivities with your family. On the day of the race, expect some minor delays along Agoura Road. Beach traffic is encouraged to use the Las Virgenes exit as the event is expecting thousands of additional cars to be making their way down Kanan Road to watch the race.
