Duquesne, which was without a true home in 2019-20, is completing renovation work on the new UPMC Cooper Fieldhouse, tentatively scheduled to open in 2021. The modernized and re-imagined facility is named in honor Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Famer Chuck Cooper - the first African- American drafted by an NBA team in 1950 (Boston Celtics).

DAMBROT AND LEBRON • Prior to beginning his assistant coaching tenure at Akron in 2001, Dambrot compiled a 69-10 record in three seasons as head coach at Akron St. Vincent-St. Mary High School.
