As the host of Adult Swim’s top-rated live action comedy series, he has rattled the minds of TV censors, celebrity guests, and viewers alike in the hilarious and unstable talk show, The Eric Andre Show. Now, the Kimmel Center Cultural Campus welcomes Eric Andre: Legalize Everything Tour to the Merriam Theater on Tuesday, September 17, 2019 at 7:30 p.m., presented in association with Live Nation. “We are thrilled to welcome Eric Andre to our Kimmel Center Cultural Campus for the first time,” said Ed Cambron, Chief Operating Officer and Executive Vice President of the Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts. “He has been an established player in the comedy scene for years; what better talent to kick off our 2019-20 comedy series, in September with Andre, Randy Rainbow, and The Office! A Musical Parody.” With an already proven stand-up act, Andre decided to break into the world of late night talk shows, bringing his own flare to what is otherwise a very organized and predictable late night routine. Unlike his counterparts, Jimmy Fallon or Conan O’Brien, Andre’s extreme, unapologetic humor puts guests of The Eric Andre Show into situations they never thought they would end up in. With the help of his longtime friend and profoundly apathetic co-host Hannibal Buress, Andre has interviewed some of the entertainment world’s best including Chris Rock, Jimmy Kimmel, Seth Rogen, Andy Samberg, Lauren Conrad, ASAP Rocky, Jack Black, Kelly Osbourne, Haley Joel Osment, Chris Jericho, Jack McBrayer, Amber Rose, T.I, Stacey Dash, Roy Hibbert, Jillian Michaels, Alan Thicke, and many others. In addition to being the creator and host of Adult Swim’s The Eric Andre Show, he is the writer and executive producer for the network’s new late night comedy, Mostly 4 Millennials. Recently, he lent his voice to the hyena Azizi in Disney’s reimaging of The Lion King and starred on FXX’s Man Seeking Woman from 2015 – 2017. His other television credits include CBS’ 2 Broke Girls, playing the boyfriend of Max (Kat Dennings) and a series regular role on ABC’s Don’t Trust the B---- in Apt. 23. Andre was recently seen on the big screen in Popstar: Never Stop Never Stopping with Andy Samberg, and in The Internship with Vince Vaughn and Owen Wilson. Originally from Boca Raton, Florida, Andre resides in Los Angeles and tours often, selling out venues across the US, Canada, and Australia. Other featured upcoming performances at the Kimmel Center Cultural Campus include: Adam Ant: Friend or Foe (September 20, 2019, Merriam Theater); A Night with Janis Joplin (September 24, 2019, Merriam Theater); The Office! A Musical Parody (September 28 – 29, 2019, Merriam Theater); and Black Violin: Impossible Tour (November 8, 2019, Academy of Music).
