DANCE Earlier this term twenty Year 6 students from Goolmangar, Jiggi, Blakebrook, Coffee Camp and Larnook Primary Schools attended a Dance Enrichment Day at Lismore High Campus. The workshop was designed and ran by The Rivers P-12 Dance Teacher, Miss Elise Dessmann, as part of the P-12 Learning Community Dance Initiative for 2016. The students all had a keen interest in dance and participated in a whole day workshop learning about safe dance practice, performance technique and worked collaboratively to explore ways to create original and intriguing movement. The workshop was a highly successful day with all students and coordinating Principal, Rachel Bertuzzi, feeling like they had learnt and accomplished so much, in a fun and creative environment. All primary schools within The Rivers P-12 Learning Community will have the opportunity to book in for their own Enrichment Day Dance workshop throughout the year.
