Esseltially, it gives the lesults of checking the Type collections of all except t sevenof the lames whjch bave been applicd to otchids occurrirrgin the State. ( In the pas1,the farnily has been studied quite extensivelyhere as elsewhete, but a najor handicap has been the location of most early type specimcnsin : Europeariherbirria. Most Austlalian workers since 1880have used only the T ar'ailableliteralure in their interpretations,and their conclusionsin somegroups F such as Dlrrls and Pterostylis have vatied considerably.
